Would you trade ...

The Suns' biggest problem is the spacing. In their starting lineup, Warren, Chriss and Chandler can't shoot 3P. I doubt that Rubio interests them.
Funny. I (and everyone else) said the same thing about the Jazz before we traded for him.

If you are going to talk about Rubio to Phoenix hypotheticals we might as well include Rubio for the injured Brandon Knight.

The irony of Enes Kanter traded assets becoming Knight would be awesome.

Would anybody do JoeJ to the Pelicans for Omer Asik
IMO the core moving forward should be:

Exum (Too early to give up on)
Mitchell
Ingles/Hood (If price is reasonable)
?
Gobert/Bradley (If he pans out)

Aggressively target Jabari Parker as a RFA, flip all other assets outside of 1st's (which in return should improve this year's pick), & draft bpa.

Mitchell's ability to play the 1 means we wouldn't be overly reliant on Exum's development, while giving DL the flexibility to draft the best prospect available, regardless of position (outside of a 5), with what should be a top 10 pick in a seemingly good draft class.

I understand this isn't the prototypical "Jazz way" & that fans are anxious to return to our consistent winning ways but Mitchell & Gobert are both legitimate championship caliber building blocks & I truly believe we are a single impact player from not only contending but possibly even winning a championship (if everything breaks right).

I do think Mitchell may eventually have the ability to attract high-end FA's in the future but small-market teams need to take advantage of all potential opportunities to acquire elite talent. And a lost season with several expendable, reasonably valuable trade assets that are currently keeping us in the playoff picture is exactly the type of opportunity we can't afford to pass up.

Mitchell (as well as Gobert) was a blessing in disgise. With the right moves & some luck, I honestly believe we have a legitimate chance to eventually win an NBA title.

I agree with this. And I would do the following:

Trade Burks to Dallas for Josh McRoberts' expiring. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7oqjt5p Dallas has to spend more money to reach the salary floor. Burks only has one year left after this one and he's still relatively young so he's worth the gamble for Dallas. Quin obviously doesn't believe in Burks night in night out. Give his minutes to O'Neal and Mitrou-Long. This trade frees up $11.5 for next year.

Now to Favors. Could we package him with Rubio to get rid of Rubio? At this point, I would trade Favors and Rubio for Greg Monroe and a few 2nd round picks (Phoenix has 4). Cut our losses, and look towards summer. This trade frees up $14.8 for next year.

Just let JoeJ expire. If he could be traded for an asset, he more than likely would make us bring back a contract. Maybe a team uses a massive trade exception for him, but that would probably only net us a 2nd rounder at best.

After these two trades and decision on JoeJ, we save $26.3 million for this summer and pick up multiple 2nd round picks. There aren't many massive free agents this summer within our reach, but there are so few teams with the flexibility to buy. Our initial goal could be Jabari Parker, but we would still have other options.

But his passing and dribbling ability will give the Suns players looks they've never had before, plus he has incredible defense and steals the ball at a high rate leading to more fast break opportunities. That plays right into the style the Suns want to play so clearly the Suns would be crazy not to want a guy like that. In fact the Jazz should be asking for at least 2 unprotected first round picks for Rubio.

Honestly, could he be any worse for the team than Rubio at this point? I'd rather be paying Shelvin $6mil next season than Rubio $15mil
Good point. However, at least Rubio will pass the ball a bit. Would hate to see Shelvin’s hero ball with Mitchell standing open.

Would anybody be interested in trading Alec Burks for Josh McRoberts knowing that the deal is just to get out of Burks' contract for next season?

Yes but does Cuban want that?

Looks like Jeff Teague is having an MRI on his knee. Do you think we could trade Rubio to Minnesota for the OKC pick?

Burks is a guy who helps them without sacrificing much for the future. If he pans out, excellent deal. If he doesn't, he won't hurt their plans.

I would like to try and get Julius Randle from the Lakers. they have to trade him away or get nothing for him next summer. Sefolosha for Randle?
What would we do with Randle?
