What's new

You own the #2 pick. Wiggins went #1. Utah owns the #3 pick.

Would you trade the #2 for #3, Kanter and the GS pick (let's say it's 11-13 range).

Basically, you are trading Parker for Randle/Exum/Embiid/Gordon/Smart, Kanter and another pick. You could draft Smart and Young and you would have traded Parker for a starting PG, SG, and PF. Is that enough for a kid that will come in and score 20 ppg his rookie year?

Only if you think he is the only piece left to win a championship. In my opinion when the season is over Embiid will be the far and away #1 pick in the draft. So if we have 3, and the first two teams mess up and take Wiggins Parker, I roll with Embiid. Then I trade #13 and Kanter to get up to #6 and take Exum/Lavine/Hood.

A seven foot guy that gets 6 rebs a night...yikes. I'll take the 20 ppg guy any day of the week over that.

Do you think embiid tops out at 6 rebounds per night for the rest of his career?

Forget that it's 6.5. And that it's in 20 minutes. And that he gets better every game.

I hope the Jazz have this "problem". And I'd be perfectly fine just taking Embiid.

P.S. I fully realize how insane this sounds. I'm kind of talking out of my *** here. This post could be fodder for decades, but what can I say. I just have a feeling with Embiid that he could be one of the rarest players you can find.

Give me the Mormon Barkley to play with favors, burks and Burke. Gobert off the bench and whatever else the jazz can put together.

Keep the gs pick if you can.
Enes is trade fodder.

Embilid might be the next david Robinson but

1-bigs take longer to develope and I want to see some winning now.
2-jazz have 'developed' Enes for 3 years and.....
3-there is another big in every draft, and every year that guy is going to be the next....whoever.

You're smarter than this, Green. Right??

Yup. He actually has about equal rebs and more points than SR Tim Duncan per 40. The more I looked at him last night the more intriguing he has become. I don't know much about him.

Top 3 big projects are a HUGE risk. He isn't Duncan or Shaq, putting up 25 and 15 regularly. He is a risk. He might not ever pan out. Jabari is 20 a night right now, and a great teammate. He fits perfectly beside Favors, Hayward, and Burke.

But there is a lot of time between now and June.

How much of a project does Embiid look to be? I really like what I've seen from Parker and Wiggins, but Embiid seems like he may take longer to develop. Big men always do. I want to believe that Kanter can be our center for the future but I can't ever see him getting great solid playing time.

The Jazz can't afford (literally) to miss on this pick. It would be better to go safer. (Jabari) and hit a three run home run then go for a Wiggins and have him turn out to be Rudy Gay.

I like our chances of resigning Parker with the whole religious connection. Wiggins screams Miami, New York, or LA to me. Flashy talented athlete.

Why not do both?

Tank.

Draft Parker.

Trade kanter, trade the GS pick, Miss Utah, and turn this pick into Embiid.

Championship.

Excellent, you take McDermott, I'll take Embiid.... just kidding, I know you didn't mean that, just had to take you literally and poke a little fun.
