This was originally posted by one of the two sports guys on Channel 4, I don’t remember his name. However, Donovan said this almost purposely when he did so it would be heard IMO. There’s a couple more cameras there, this just before the entrance to their locker room, he knew the media was there and he clearly said it knowing it was going to get out. I agree players should be given their privacy, but Donovan knew at that moment it would get out and could have waited until he went through those doors to say it and it would not have been recorded. I think at the moment he was fine with them hearing it. He just got recorded a week and a half ago saying something similar so I doubt he thought he wasn’t being recorded. I doubt he loves it now, but I doubt he cares much either.
