The trade: Favors + Burks + one of our picks for Bledsoe after the Suns draft a PG in the draft. Is this acceptable?

Free Agent: Patrick Patterson

Re-sign: Hayward and Ingles

Draft: Bam Adebayo, Sindarius Thornwell

Roster:
PG: Eric Bledsoe/Dante Exum/Raul Neto
SG: Rodney Hood/Joe Ingles/Sindarius Thornwell
SF: Gordon Hayward/Joe Johnson
PF: Patrick Patterson/Trey Lyles/Boris Diaw/Joel Bolomboy
C: Rudy Gobert/Bam Adebayo

very good

Check out my thread about Hayward if you have concerns about how it could possibly work. All of these moves together is a bit of a long shot, but I think each move individually is reasonable.

1. Re-sign: Hayward (opting in to his current contract at 16 mil) and no one else (sorry Joe!).

2. Draft picks: D.J. Wilson (PF Michigan) and Derrick White (SG Colorado)

3. Free agent: Kyle Lowry. I know, I know. But assuming Hayward decides to opt-in for one more year and try for a "Super Max" contract the following year, we'd have the cap space. And Lowry might be tempted at the prospect of playing with two young premier talents in Hayward and Gobert.

4. Trade: Burks for a 2nd rounder. To clear cap space.

Projected Depth Chart:

PG: Lowry/Exum/Neto
SG: Hood/Exum/White
SF: Hayward/Johnson
PF: Favors/Johnson/Wilson
C: Gobert/Favors/Bolomboy

I realize this one is a bit more out there, but it's not impossible and it's intriguing to consider.

1. Re-sign: Gordon Hayward

2. Draft: Jonathan Jeanne (aka the next Gobert), and Jawun Evans (grab & groom point guard in case Exum doesn't pan out)

3. Trade #1: Hayward for Isaiah Thomas

4. Trade #2: Burks for a 2nd rounder. To clear cap space.

5. Free Agency: Use Isaiah Thomas and Gobert to lure Galinari

Team:

Isaiah Thomas / Exum / Jawun
Rodney Hood
Danilo Galinari / Joe Johnson
Derrick Favors
Rudy Gobert / Jonathan Jeanne

Isaiah Thomas becomes the new dynamic ball handler. He'll feed everyone including lob galore to Gobert. Hood and Galinari will benefit as they both can shoot 3 and score. Favors will also get easy dunks.

Not abiding by thread rules, but assume we can dump Burks by attaching the 42nd pick... Would you do the following trade:

- Tobias Harris for Diaw and Lyles (pre-draft using cap space)
- Detroit is about to enter luxury tax territory with KCP coming up and they have a bunch of combo forwards already.

If Hayward re-signs I think Harris would thrive as a full-time 4. We could move on from Favors post signing Hill, Hayward and Ingles... or hold onto him depending on how the offseason plays out.

Could also do a variation where we include Hood and get the 12th pick, but I am not moving anyone I think Hayward wants to keep prior to his FA.

The trade: Hood + Burks + one or more of our picks for Paul George. Its a well worth it Risk

Free Agent: Patrick Patterson, backup to Favors or starter if Favors is still not healthy. Maybe just lets him play a lot less minutes

Re-sign: Hayward and Ingles

Draft: Some rookies to fill in. I dont know them at all this year. Target someone that can backup Gobert so Favors can stop playing a position he is not good at. Then target a good all around wing.

Roster:
PG: Dante Exum/Raul Neto
SG: Paul George/Joe Ingles
SF: Gordon Hayward/Joe Johnson/Rookie
PF: Derrick Favors/Patrick Patterson/Trey Lyles/Joel Bolomboy
C: Rudy Gobert/Rookie/Favors

Frank Jackson and Semi Ojeleye.

1 acceptable trade

Burks to BKN
Lyles to BKN
Hood to MIL
Diaw to MIL
GSW pick to MIL

Booker to UTA

Middleton to UTA

Hill / Exum / Jackson
Middleton / Ingles
Hayward / Johnson / Ojeleye
Favors / Booker / Bolomboy
Gobert / Bogut / Tacko

I broke the rules on the final roster.

But in reality I'd really enjoy this lineup:

Hill / Exum / Neto (unless there's an upgrade)
Hood / Ingles
Hayward / Johnson / Ojeleye
Favors / Bolomboy
Gobert / Bogut / Tacko

Could add Frank Jackson or maybe Teo as combo guards.

I'd consider it. Haven't paid as much attention to Harris this year, but I think we could really benefit from a quality stretch 4.

This is my favorite one so far.

Free Agent: Jonathon Simmons

Re-sign: Hayward and Ingles

Roster:
PG: Dante Exum/Raul Neto
SG: Rodney Hood/Jonathon Simmons
SF: Gordon Hayward/Joe Ingles/Rookie
PF: Kristaps Porzingis/Joe Johnson/Joel Bolomboy

I'd rather play Hayward at the 2 and George at the 3.
