Your off season rebuild (game)

Alright, here's another shot:

Re-sign Hayward and Hood.

Draft Ojeleye and Tacko.

Trade Burks and Lyles for Kenneth Faried.

Sign Muscala.

I'm going to go ahead and assume Ingles would want to come back, too.

Hill / Exum / Neto
Hood / Ingles
Hayward / Johnson / Ojeleye
Favors / Faried / Bolomboy
Gobert / Muscala / Tacko

I think we address a lot of toughness issues with Faried, he's in a two year contract and gives us good insurance for Favors. Plus, having him enables being able to bring in Muscala to stretch the floor.

I've changing mine to:

Curry
Hill
Hayward
Gallinari/Joe
Gobert

Seriously though how the heck is Golden State expecting to pay Curry? Curry is personally bank rolling that squad by playing for very little $$$

Re-sign Hayward and Ingles
Doesn't matter who they draft, won't make a difference for a few years
Sign Milos Teodosic
Trade Burks and draft picks for Wilson Chandler (probably not possible, but I can hope)

PG: Milos/Exum
SG: Hood/Ingles/Chandler
SF: Hayward/Chandler
PF: Favors/Joe/Chandler
C: Rudy/Favors

The Knicks gave Joakim Noah $72Million. I don't think anyone should assume what they will and won't do.
This is an easy one.
They won't trade porz

If he is really upset and wanting out they might trade him (still unlikely) but not to the Jazz for injured players and late picks. Just about the only trade I could see is for the #1 pick this year from Boston and next years pick. That would be a good trade for both teams. NY gets 2 more lottery picks and star potential in Fultz. Boston gets a solid big.

That would be a pretty good off season. Get a Center/PF in the draft and another wing. You also left off Lyles. Although maybe you gave up on him.

I agree, a C or PF in the draft with another wing would be smart. No, I haven't given up on Lyles yet, but I don't think he would get much playing time if the Jazz had Chandler, so I just left him off because of that.

1. Resign Gordy - 31 M
2. Resign Ingles 8-10M

Free Agent -
Teodosić - 8 M (just to ensure I understand this correctly, we can use the MLE to go over the Luxury tax without being charged the tax penalty?)

Vet FA big (withey, nene, bogut, speights) Whoever you can get for min.

Vet Wing (Carter, Allen, Clark) Whoever you can get for min.

Trade:
Burks, 1st (30th of 2017) + a pick from next year if necessary for Rubio

Draft:
Jeanne or Pasecniks

1. Rubio 28 Teledosic 20 Exum Neto
2. Hood 30 Ingles 14 Teodosić 4 Vet FA
3. Hayward 34 Ingles 10 Johnson 4
4. Favors 28 Johnson 20 Bolomboy Lyles
5. Gobert 34 Withey or vet FA 14 Jeanne or Pasecniks

A couple notes -

In this plan exum plays zero minutes, the reason I would do this is it would lower the contract he would get after this year, allowing us to retain him at a lower amount. I dont really care if he gets upset of playing time, he hasnt produced at an NBA level im not handing him anything.

Adding two ELITE passers in Rubio and Teodosić make us the best passing team in the league.

We maintain our size at every position.

I would argue that depth is even better than last year.

Trade Burks and Diaw for Fournier (works on Trade Checker)

Sign Hayward and Ingles

Draft John Collins and Frank Jackson

Sign Teodosic

Teodosic/Exum/Neto
Hood/Fournier/Jackson
Hayward/Johnson/Ingles
Lyles/Collins/Bolomboy
Gobert/Favors

Offer Diaw the veteran's minimum after Orlando doesn't pick up his contract.

This would put them right under the luxury tax at approx 120 million

Ok here are the rules to your rebuild

- You can only re-sign 2 players this off season (this includes non guaranteed contract also)
- You can only draft 1 realistic person in the first round and 1 in the second round
- you can only sign 1 free agent (please be realistic)
- 1 acceptable trade

Re-sign Hill and Hayward
Draft Semi at 24 and Kuzma at 42
Sign Iggy.
Trade Burks and 30 for Brooklyn's 27th pick (I'll skip picking 27th pick though since this game only allows one 1st rounder)

Hill-Exum-Neto
Hood-Semi
Hayward-Iggy
Favors-Johnson-Kuzma
Gobert-Bolomboy

And yes, I know that's a reach for Semi.

Yeah but the Pistons are gonna trade for Hood who has a year left because they're just so close.

You know what RFA means, right?

And yes, there was a report that said Detroit is seeking veteran help for the 12th pick. Hood fits a need (shooting). So I think it's within the realm of possibility.

Iggy leaving GSW isnt in that realm, especially not for Utah.

Yes, and I spelled out all the reasons why the trade wouldn't make sense for Detroit. Keep talking out of both sides of your mouth though (see your Jackson and Drummond knocks just days ago) just to be a contrarian.

I dont like Jackson/Drummond. I wouldn't want them, especially on Utah, but they are talented and better players than they showed this past year. You are a dumbass who doesnt know what restricted free agency is.
