Toronto may not want our garbage, but the fact the Harris is an expiring

Harris and Calderon and both expire after 2013 (next year). They cost practically the same, Calderon is a couple million more over these two remaining years.

I think to get Calderon for Harris straight up we have to throw in a sweetener. Maybe a 2nd round pick would do it? I doubt we are allowed trade any kind of future 1st rounder because of our current pick situation.

Or maybe we could just obtain Calderon from Toronto straight up with the trade exception from Memo. Then turn around and dump Harris for pretty much anyone who is expiring this year.

The part of Stein's tweet that mentioned that the Jazz have been shopping Harris since the D-League showcase makes me think that possibly the Jazz have found a potential 3rd string point guard at the showcase, which might mean that Harris wouldn't need to bring back a point guard in return. They could receive any asset (player, pick, exception).

If that's the case, we need a good SG!

If you can't tell us what that means then this should be thrown out of consideration.

Then throw it out, I don't care. I was just quoting Hollinger. My opinion wasn't based off of the Synergy crap anyways. It was based on terrible defense and nagging injuries.

I was watching the Celtics/Raptors game the other night and I could've sworn that one of the announcers said that Calderon was literally the worst shooter in the league, as in he has the lowest shooting percentage. If this is true, this does bother me.

Shooting 48% on a decent amount of attempts on one of the worst offensive teams in the league. Having a off year from deep at 33%, but maybe he isn't getting great looks because no one on the team has a low post game? I can see how Harris would be better on the Raptors because of Bargani playing on the perimeter, giving Harris more room to drive.

You do this trade and don't look back. Give them a second-rounder or something if you need some grease on the hinges.

Even Calderon as a backup with Watson as a starter would be a noticeable improvement from what we are seeing right now.

Do it.

The Jazz need a new PG

I know nobody wants to talk about it. But I think it's time the Jazz look for a change at the PG position.

Understood. All I'm saying is that saying "synergy stats say he was third worst" doesn't really make sense. What stats are we talking about here? It makes even less sense adding 'synergy' to the mix since synergy stats are possession-by-possession breakdowns and hence are not an umbrella indicator (like PER or +/-). I just want to know what that means.

If he's saying that he's the 3rd worst defensive PG then we're getting somewhere.

I'd like to know what that means too. I tried a quick google search but really couldn't find out.

Hinrich fits better in 1st unit of Jazz, and Harris would be a better fit for a running, athletic Hawks. Both are good defenders. Do not know wheter he is injury-prone, or coming from a serious injury, but I would not mind him on Jazz.
