What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

I suspect the front office is getting ready with Plans B through Z for July 1 and soon thereafter. I think even the GM and owner don't know what the team will look like right now. I can see a scenario where both Bricky and Favs are here opening night although not likely. I can see the success or lack thereof in the free agent derby driving a lot of things from trades to lesser player signings like Jonas, Ekpe and Thabo a couple of years ago when Haywood screwed us. I think the front office likes Willie Reed as a backup at minimum wage.

I have a hunch Rubio and Favors could be here opening night and that feeling makes me feel very sick. More for Rubio being here not so much Favors

That would be fantastic! Getting both Favors AND Rubio back for next season! It gives us stability, consistency, unity, fundamentally sound players who know who they are and what they can accomplish in a Jazz uniform!

Next level trolling right here

If DL brings back the same team, he will have caught the same bug that KOC caught when he made no improvements to an obviously flawed team for three straight years and watched us get bumped by the Lakers each post season in successively less games. So, if you see this happen, expect us to get swept by Houston next year.

To be fair, there was almost nothing TO do in order to get the talent to beat those Lakers teams, especially capped out as we were with AK 47's contract.

Like staying a top seed in the Western Conference? That type of "insanity?" Sometimes you do that and hope that luck tips things your way, like KD getting injured in the playoffs. What trade could you possibly have made to put Utah over the Lakers?

Losing in the first round is not top of the West

If the Jazz had faced anyone other then the Rockets and Warriors they’d have won.

Yes we need to take another step but this team is already damn good.

Spare me as if we were so ****ing good.

We likely would’ve lost to the Blazers and Nuggets as well imo.

I completely disagree. We’d have beaten either of them as well as the Spurs.

Yes, we need to improve. No, we should not run the same team back. But that doesn’t mean we need to act like this team isn’t already right below elite already. This place always over reacts in hindsight to try and prove their point. Smfh

Right below elite?

Small and inconsequential story:

I Skyped my friend to ask him to ask Love if he’s coming to Utah. My friend is a server at the resort he’s staying.

Love’s response: ‘Anything’s possible.’

Total non-answer answer of course. His contract is garbage and something I want no part of.

I just don't know how the Jazz even get Love. He shouldn't be a priority. Only way I see to get him is to trade Favors. Jazz could re-sign Rubio then trade Favors and Exum for Love. Don't see any other scenario where Love makes sense and you can get him.

Maybe the Jazz sign some role players and deal them at the deadline for Love.

And if I was better looking, rich and had a bigger Dick, blah blah blah. We weren’t good enough last year, we need to make changes.
