Zach Lowe on the Jazz

Cool. Little too flat for me there, but cool. How do you come to be a Utah Jazz fan?
2k9. D-Will, Kirilenko, Okur, and Boozer. Such a fun squad. Dabbled in the NBA until then, was a Celtics fan because KG and a Suns fan because Nash.

Watched the Butler-Duke national title game and fell in love with G. Never saw a nerdy white kid such as myself ball so hard, when he got drafted to Utah it was meant to be. I became a legit Jazz fan then.

Always loved using Utah in old 2k games though, playing as Stockton was so much fun to me, even though I was just a kid. Never truly got into the NBA until I was about 17 or 18 though when Hayward and Favors burst onto the scene.

Very cool...G ain't such a kid anymore...he seems primed to lead the team into the post season. Its awesome seeing his team evolve. Sometimes it's frustrating but the journey is great overall. Salt Lake is a little similar to Nebraska and also to Buffalo. None are places that are magnets for top talent. It's cool to see the Jazz draft well (mostly), and grow the talent while adding smartly a few vets (this year). I can't wait for the season and enjoy enhancing my love for the team here (most of the time). See ya around Klug!

Shhh, don't tell log, shad, gvc, or frank.

What? You mean that a NBA writer is saying nice things about the jazz? They have been all summer. If saying nice things=championships them we would have a dozen already this year. Nice of him to say nice things.

Yep. The Jazz will never beat the field in the odds of winning a championship no matter how good they are. They definitely should fold the franchise. Quit before they get in too deep.

I would say not to worry about these guys giving you a hard time, but you got it all under control. Troll on, they'll never figure it out ;)

Any 24-hour site for content creation (yes, I consider message boards to be a part of that Media Universe) is going to have a meta-layer of content (where the site discusses itself, and where in-fighting becomes apparent in some way). If history is a guide, this appears to be fate. On 24-hour news sites they interview other people from the site, for example.

It is an undeniable fact that someone can consume or participate in the content of these types of sites without consuming or participating in the meta layer. If that is your goal, it's a simple matter of self control.

It's exhausting to hear someone complain about fate -- and, in those complaints, blame others for the feelings they have when they interact with fate. The only problem I see in those scenarios is a problem with self-control.

#NAOSismyproblem

I can think of dozens of JFCers who have participated on this site without ever seeming to get into that meta layer. It's obviously possible.

I'm sorry if me saying shh don't tell gvc, frank, log or shad took away from your enjoyment of jazzfanz. That is not what I try to do with my posting.
I hope that you stick around and realize that there are a lot of good posters on this site and that you will keep contributing to jazzfanz.
I will definitely try not to attack you like that anymore in the future.
I will try to practice what I preach. I'm not perfect so I may occasionally make a mistake and say something mean or rude sometimes. Feel free to call me out when that happens and will take it into consideration and most likely apologize for any un-warranted attacks and try to correct the behavior.

Go **** your apology.
