I talked with Jason Kidd. They're matching. He was surprised that I even asked... He thought everybody knew.
Quite honoured that you've dedicated all your sigs to me since ur return.

Also, to the morons that think I stand where I do because of Burke being on this team:
I would make the exact same arguments if Burke was traded tonight, and we were trying to find minutes for Hanlan and Cotton.
This is about playing Alec Burks at the 1 for 70% of his minutes.
I am sure people want him for a reasonable contract number but he is going to get offered a good deal. Too many teams with money and the cap jumping up is making teams willing to throw money around. If he does not take a huge contract it is getting matched. There is a good chance it gets matched no matter what.
I would rather see Jazz go after someone better and maybe get lucky. Chances with all these RFA is not good for the Jazz to get one. Better off trying for a trade to get a good player or standing pat imo. I am pretty happy with Hayward, Hood, Burks and Ingles as our 4 man rotation with Milsap coming in when really needed or injuries/foul trouble hits. Exum can play some minutes at the 2 if needed as well.
Same. Save for the obvious upper echelon of FAs (Butler, Kawhi, etc.) I am more fond on the trajectory of Burks and Hood than any of these other players. Consequently, if we're trying to snag one at the expense of the play/development of the aforementioned two, it strikes me as dim-witted, and tunnel-visioned.
I understand the need for bench shooting, and the sexiness of perimeter defense-- but both players have more offensive scoring potential at the 2 than MOST of the SG/SG FAs on the market. This is of HUGE importance for the Jazz, who were 25th in the league for scoring last season. Apart from Butler, I'm simply not interested with the players mentioned. I'm lukewarm with Middleton, given the proper contract.

Not enough playmaking ability amongst the gaurds and wings with Hayward and Hood out there, eh?
Some people believe Middleton is actually a better FA acquisition than Butler.
Seeing as we're working with the 25th best NBA offense, maximizing our offensive potential takes precedence over #bulldogs. Thus, let's get minutes for Black Jesus and shoot ourselves into the offensive stratospherezz.

I think we should play the best group of B-Ball players we can manage. You would honestly play Hanlan and Cotton over Green/Carrol/Middleton that's dumb. What do those two bring to the table that one of these wings wouldn't other than being shorter? They are end of the bench guys.
Like removing Burke from the rotation and replacing him with a top 10 3 pt shooter?
Some ppl think Obama is a Muslim.
Like giving Burks minutes to Green, a player who has the dribble-drive game of Hasheem Thabeet

Nope Burks still plays 30, we've been over this.
How many different ways can homerism for Black Jesus Burke be repackaged as a "reasonable argument about something else"? Is someone keeping track?
