AK is retiring

Mods, please lock this garbage of a thread on a garbage of a player.

What another rant against a former Jazz player ... we going to go through the same thing we did with Kanter, or are you simply trying to antagonize me? I see E.J. Weeny made a comment but since I have him on invisible I can't read it. I think I spelled Weenie, wrong ... is that better, E.J.?

the excitment for AK in 2004 reminds me of the excitement we have for Gobert today. I enjoyed watching him as much as anyone in the league back then -the AK l loved to watch retired many years ago.

FWIW, I ranted gainst him while he was here.

Will someone please quote my previous post so Stalker-Boy can see it? (as if he really has me on ignore -- what a tool.)

Thanks in advance.

Yep. Remember when Larry H. said he wasn't a max player now, but would be? That was the day he signed his big deal. After that he stopped improving and just coasted on his athletic ability. That fades quickly with age and injuries. I doubt Rudy is going to do the same. He was fire AK never had.

And mods, doesn't this thread belong in General Sports?

I've worried about Gobert's physical health for similar reasons. High energy, strange physical body, possibly gonna play with injuries. Pray for the Gobert.

Agree, AK never had the aggressive nature that Rudy has, and was one of the reasons he never reached his potential. And maybe it does belong in General NBA, but I posted here and they can do with it what they want. But AK was a long-time member of the Jazz and we usually put posts about former Jazz players, especially ones who played here many years, in this forum.

Just giving you a hard time, Eenie.
IMO, AK could have been one of the great players in the NBA during his career. It was frustrating to see that he didn't want to do what was necessary to get there. He was one of the most uniquely talented players of his generation.

If you could refine your quoting skillz half as well as your stalking skillz, you'd be a formidable poster on this site.

It also said his contract is signed until the end of this season. So, I guess that's it for AK 47.

Quick, somebody needs to reverse jinx this. I have exercised constraint not to ever mention the possibility of a Gobert injury. He must be like the statues.

PS nice job making an AK thread into a Gobert thread!
