for gobert to win DPOY, we first need to make the playoffs. wins and losses do matter. voters will always favor a player from a winning team.
 
i doubt he will win this year. but next year? why not? make the playoffs, and make noise. and let the whole world know the best center is playing for utah friggin jazz. it's our time
 
Yeah, I have never been scared of the defensive stylings of Cousins or Bogut or Jordan. Teams don't abandon going to the hoop when playing those dudes. I haven't seen Whiteside play yet, but I am fairly certain that if you polled the NBA players, Rudy would top the list for defenders they fear. . .

Gobert for 2016 Def. player of the year is an option. There are a lot of things that come into factor however. Gobert's individual stats as well as where the team is sitting both in stats as well as win%. Above all else, the Jazz need to get recognized come the start of the season. And not just for stat recognition.
 
Unfortunately, making a couple of all-NBA teams will make Rudy eligible for a 5/30% contract IINM. Hope he gives us a bit of a discount.

What if his team starts winning significantly more games after he is made the starter? I'm asking seriously. Our defense when Rudy is on the floor is night and day to where it was pre all star weekend.

Oh wow. Forgot about that.

I like the 5 year thing. Ah well. He's worth it imo. I'd rather retain Rudy over anyone else.


Rudy is gonna be a rich man.
