Lowry anybody?

Just goes to show that the way to gain respect for your basketball knowledge on Jazzfanz is to call everyone dumbasses just as soon as you can, so as to hide your true colors of ignorance and not understanding wtf is going on. Because for some reason the majority of people believe aggressive retards over sound logic.

Don't think I called Siro a "dumbass" just said he had a Hack moment. Is that equivalent to calling someone a dumbass?

Is it working for you?

I don't do it. That's why it don't work for me.

I've noticed you've been a lot different lately, probably cause I called you out on it. I commend you on trying to act like a decent human being. But I also can tell the old you is dying to come out.

Remember this guy.

Stats...stats... FU....stats....Fu....ur an idiot.. stats.. fu....you are a moron.. stats.

Wasn't even referring to that. Try to make connections that aren't there much?

I respond to insult with insult, and have very little patience for willful ignorance. That's all. I'm just not around very much.

Probably because you called me out? Jesus...I can't imagine what you're like in real life. ****ing hilarious.

No you dont. Don't try to steal my ****. You've gone out of your way many times to insult people.

The only thing in that statement is true is that you have very little patience.

And I'm cool as **** in real life.

My interaction with you today is an exception. Feel free to provide a single (other) example. Just one.

A trade for Lowry COULD be done without releasing him. Trading the #12 pick + Burke is about $4.7M, IINM. But wasn't Patterson in his final season? Can you still trade a player who is a RFA in anything but a S&T? If they could, Utah could then match an offer to go over the cap. If it has to be a S&T, Utah likely can't clear enough space to get Lowry at $12M AND Patterson at $5M+ (his QO is $4.3M).

Alternately, I believe a trade of Booker, Jerrett and Burke for Lowry works and fits under the cap.

Either way, you've left Utah thin at the 4/5. Tomic is out of the question. The Jazz MIGHT be able to bring over Pleiss. I think - and GVC could probably answer this - that keeping Booker (or including Patterson in the deal) means we'd need to renounce all our exceptions and only be left with the room-MLE, which is around $2.6M. That can be spent on one player or divided among several. Would probably be the way to go IF you were in favor of getting Lowry: keep Booker (or get Patterson if possible) and bring over Pleiss. The remaining roster spots are vet-minimums, our 2nd-rounders or other rookie FA's.

Career he has shot just under 42%/35%. He'll be 30 next year. So those numbers AREN'T likely to improve and will start to go down. I realize we've suffered through lousy PG's since Deron left, but that is NOT the kind of shooting we need...especially given his big contract. We'd trade all those assets (and have to give up Booker as a cap casualty) for a player who is under contract for 2 more years and then has a PLAYER option. Oh yeah, do we have a chance of bringing Tomic over if we've used up most of our cap in the trade?

No thanks. Lowry is certainly an upgrade over Burke but not a big enough one to justify all the assets lost.

I also think we're looking at this wrong. Hayward, Burks and Hood are essentially the play makers when they are in the game (and at least one of them would be for 48 mins). What we need is a Derek-Fisher type PG: someone who can just fire 3's and play decent defense. I hate to mention that guy's name because I LOATHE him. But in his prime, he was the perfect complement to the ball-dominant Kobe. Not that Burks, Hayward or Hood are that good, but they certainly run the plays. So is there a combo guard or SG who could guard opposing ones and wouldn't need the ball in his hands all the time?
Exum?

So are GVC's #'s wrong? Because adding up the season by season you get 576 by his #'s. NBA.com also says he's played a total of 576 games not counting playoffs.

Good post.

I hope!
But this is precisely what I'm driving at. The Jazz don't necessarily have to look at traditional PG's for the answer. And, in fact, the replacement for Burke - if he doesn't improve - just might be Alec Burks. Burks MIGHT be able to survive guarding back-up PG's. I do not think he has the defensive ability to stay with most of the starting PG's in the league, though. So Exum HAS to improve enough to be a quality starter.

All I know is that I added GVC's numbers 3 separate times and I got 577. But does that one game really matter? It's a difference of 0.1 games when averaged out.

You involve yourself plenty. Don't act innocent.

What was your post in the Billy King thread?

I don't remember the thread you're talking about. But I am not part of the group that picks on you. Sure I'm a dick to everyone every once in a while, but I am not involved in this flame war you've got going. I responded to Cy's context, and I wasn't making a point about you. I consider you an all right poster, personally.
