The Jazz played well, the Thunder were just unconscious. I do think the Jazz need to toughen up. If Westbrook wants to drive the lane recklessly every time. you put him on his *** and he'll think twice about it next time.
Harpring is a moron of an announcer, but the Jazz sure miss his toughness.
 
the real key isn't that the Jazz refused to keep Wes or blindly gave Maynor away.

The key is that AK's abortional contract has cost us those players. KOC failing to unload that contract at any cost has been a plague for years and years.

Had we gotten rid of that player who hasn't developed one offensive move in his entire NBA career we could have kept Wes, Eric, and probably somebody else without any problem.
 
Any blame you put on KOC belongs as much or more on the shoulders of Goatee, Granny, and/or Elbows. KOC can't do anything unless management LETS him.

Yeah, but it seems like every team in the league goes nuts at the 3 point line against the Jazz. And it seems like it's been that way for decades now. Maybe it really isn't that way and every team goes through this but that's how it feels.

I always give some benefit of doubt to KOC. I really think that if the Millers had told him "Look KOC, you need to trade this guy at all costs, I don't care if we get a little worse in the present, but we will be better in the long run" then KOC would have done something about it.

What puzzles me is, why would the Millers, in general notorious for being frugal in their spending ways, hang onto AK for all these years? Was it just "emotional attachment" with LHM as some mentioned before? I find that hard to believe.
Or was he really that untradeable? I find that hard to believe too.

The whole situation is truly puzzling. I've asked myself this a lot and can't seem to find an answer. I think the AK fiasco will go down as the single biggest curiosity of this franchise's history.
 
The Jazz lost control of the game the second Evans entered the game. They lost the lead trying to set up an Earlyoop on 3 consecutive plays. We never lead after that point.

Our bench stunk last night.

I agree 100 percent. Sometimes the Jazz overvalue a certain player and are too loyal to that player. Just thing if the Jazz had unloaded AK for Marion and waited to re-sign Okur. Not only could they have kept Wes and Eric but they could have acquired some additional help.

Reality sucks but its true. For all those Jazz fans who wanted the Jazz to return to their glory instead of sucking for 3 or 4 years to rebuild. Just look at OKC and see why it would have been fine if the Jazz had sucked a few more years in order to get more "superstar" talent. I know people will use Portland as an example against sucking but everyone knows they would have been great if Roy, Oden and company had stayed healthy. Seriously, the Jazz need more talent and now the only way they are really going to get is if they can sign FA once AK and Memo come off the books.

I noticed the Thunder did just this to CJ in the fourth. I can't remember the same happening to them. And yeah I hate how harp has to quarterback the entire game. Then need to restrict him to talking the same amount Ron Boone did and let Boler do his thing. If I could mute Harp after a about five minutes I would have heard everything he had to say for every game the entire season.

This was disconcerting. Also we still haven't got our D back.
