Following potential 2017 draftees...

Damn. Jackson vs. Fultz.

Fultz with 2pts.
Jackson with 50pts, 16rbs, 5asts, 2steals.

Jackson is the truth.

There was no semblance of defense played in that game. Jackson did shut the gym down though.. He doesn't just get blocks or steals, he rips the ball from defenders hands, or swats the shot emphatically. Also has some nice dribbling moves, a stepback, a floater amongst many other skills, Phenomenal prospect for sure.

He threw the ball between his legs, off the backboard for a self alley oop..

I know someone who goes to that game every year who said it was by far the best performance he's seen there.

Was kinda shocked to see Fultz with only 2 points, he put on a show the day before in the scrimmage. He's got this spin move once he gets into the lane down to a science, he shovels drop-off passes mid spin too.

But as much as I like Fultz, he can go elsewhere for all I care. The player I was by far the most concerned about with Lousiville, was De'Aaron Fox.

Trae Young now holds an offer from UK. There's many who think he's got some Steph Curry to his game. He's Curry sized, shifty, and a sniper with an ultra quick release. I'd compare him (favorably) to Tyus Jones.

Peeks do ya think these 2017 package deals are legit? I mean, UK's now offered every player in both of them. Carter Jr.- Trent Tr. - Vanderbilt, and Porter Jr. - Young.

I think they are serious but ultimately fall apart. As you know, these deals rarely make it to the finish line.
I suspect Young and Porter will both attend madness. We'll see.
I'm not used to Cal recruiting this far out.

Coach Cal changed the game, the competition had to adjust. Now this is the best way for him to keep the strangle-hold in place. Its gonna work too, probably in spectacular fashion.

Jaedon Ledee, from Texas, who holds a UK offer in the class of 2018 is a PRIME example IMO. I think he projects to play like a bigger, more badass version of Tyreke Evans. (Ledee from what I understand, doesn't have any of the off-court redflags of Tyreke either. Seems like a polar opposite in that regard)

Lets say some local team like Baylor wants to try and keep Ledee in state, they've gotta get started early.. and what could they sell him on at that point ???the program or building the program around a local star, years in advance? It's just a really ****ty, fantastical, starting point compared to how Cal can make his "sales pitch"..

On the 2017 package deals; I kind of buy that Trent Jr. and Carter Jr. will end up at the same school, hopefully UK.

Can't help but wonder, maybe they don't like their chances with Trevon Duval? or, maybe they like their chances even if they show up late... IDK really.

I guess this means they like Young more than Jaylen Hands though, I can't blame them. I do like Hands, but it's probably for many of the reasons I liked Kasey Hill.

Couple of updates re: UK.

Apparently something has changed the staff feels like they just may pull BOTH Bam and Ayton.

Also, to the wings, this is the priority order;

1. Monk / Alkins
2. Fox
3. Simmons / Fultz

Hope so. That would implicate Dennis Smith a bit too.. right? 2016 could shape up to be the most athletic team they've had..

I'm convinced Bam's capable of being the star of the 2016 frontcourt, and a top-10 pick. Ayton would be a Karl Towns level get and would to lead to yet another flagship class in 2017, not a bad time to be a Kentucky fan.

This mix that dropped the otherday on Sacha Killeya-Jones is my favorite one out there. After further consideration, I think he's probably a 5 star talent and could even be a one-and-done if he continues to add strength at this current pace.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQCq-a1gWWI

At this point I prefer him over T.J. Leaf as an NBA prospect, who's rated near the top-10 by the services..

As I understand it, SKJ Is the type of player who's really got many different tricks in his bag, he's equipped with basically all the tools you'd look for from a PF and really just needs experience and good coaching.

I'd bet in the not too distant past he had no idea how good he was capable of being. Reminds me a bit of Ivan Rabb these days.

Mustapha Heron to Auburn!

Huge get for Bruce Pearl, the type of recruit you can build a class around. this puts them on the map.. Auburn has some high-ceiling 4 star players on the radar in 2016 too.

Heron combined with Danjel Purifoy in the 2015 class will prove to be a formidable duo out on the wing.

IMO Tadas Sedekerskis is the best Lithuanian prospect, not Domantas Sabonis. DX interviewed him recently and wrote up a report, A European scouting service I've been visiting for years had him ranked as the #1 '98 born prospect for a long time. he's certainly on NBA teams radars already, as he's logged ACB minutes as a 17 year old.

Dario Saric type of skillset, I kinda think Sedekerskis will be better though.

So who do you guys like for the Jazz in 16 and 17 so far?

They'd be well served finding a few players to stash overseas since there's 4 picks in 2016 and 5 in 2017.

Jonathan Jeanne 7'2" C, will be need 2 years to add strength if he were to be drafted in the 1st rd of 2016, He's got enough upside to warrant that type of pick though, he's extremely mobile for that size. 7'2" Zhou Qi too. 7' Ivica Zubac could add himself to this conversation if he continues to shows well this year.

Vasilis Charlambopoulos 6'8" SF is probably worth stashing with a later first rd pick too, if he were to declare. Stashable players in the 2nd round like Timothe Luwawu, Alpha Kaba, Isaia Coordinier, Andzejs Pasecniks, Nedim Buza and Rade Zagorac, maybe even Jinqu Hu are ones i'd look at taking a flyer on.

In 2017, if the Jazz are still having questions about PG, they can answer them - De'Aaron Fox and Frank Ntilikina look like the best ones IMO, with Dennis Smith and Markelle Fultz not far behind. Derryck Thornton is projected as the 30th pick in 2017, He wouldn't be a bad pickup for a backup PG.

There's also Malik Monk in 2017 who the more I think about it would fit in Utah's rotation perfectly, He's kind of like somewhere in-between Brad Beal and Russell Westbrook.. undersized at the 2 which isn't anything he can't handle, next to a PG like Dante it'd almost be a non-factor. The Jazz could do this sort of thing with Malik Newman in the 2016 draft, but Monk is definitely a better prospect

In the 2017 2nd round, there could be some interesting shooters on the board, in Luke Kennard or Trey Lyles good friend James Blackmon, maybe even Daniel Hamilton, Grayson Allen, Dillon Brooks, E.C. Matthews or Allonzo Trier.

There's more than a few players worth stashing in 2017 too. Isaiah Hartenstein, Omer Yurtserven, Tadas Sedekerskis and Rodions Kurucs could all prove to be good enough to stash with a 1st rd pick.
