Following potential 2017 draftees...

That top is stacked.
Fultz and Zimmerman too high, Alkins too low.

Agree on Zimmerman, I'd have him pegged somewhere in the teens (In 2016..) Even if he can play PF, which is an interesting look, I'd still prefer Isaiah Hartenstein and Omer Yertseven, both have more upside IMO.

They've got Fultz pegged as a PG, not a PG/SG, so that explains that. Prospects who play a bit like D'Angelo Russell (Fultz + Jamal Murray) are easy to co-sign these days. I can buy 'overrating' Fultz though and expecting growth, he's rapidly improving. I think he's going to Kentucky too..

I don't really care for the way they did the top of that mock, Giles is #1 so i'm not going to complain too much. Rodions Kurucs looks like a very interesting prospect I'm 97.5% sure they have him overrated though, maybe by as much as 20 spots..

I like Fultz and also see him at UK. I just still believe he is overrated in this mock.

College predictions.

Giles - Duke
Tatum - Duke
Smith - NC State
Jackson - AZ (LOVE this kid.. he's underrated in the mock)
Monk - UK
Fultz - UL
Fox - UK
Zimmerman - UNLV
Kuruk - ?
Isaac - FSU
Ntilikina - ?
Hartenstein - ?
Adebayo - NC State
Alkins - Villanova (this kid loves UK, and I love his game, but there's only so many we can take and I think we are hard after Fox and Monk)

My best guess at who UK signs;

Monk
Fox
Bridges
SK-Jones
(I could see us also taking one of Kobi Simmons, Fultz, or Alkins and playing small ball next year with Bridges playing some 4, a la Winslow.)

Having said that, we will likely have Ulis back and that would certainly eliminate what I wrote in parentheses.

Heh. I used to ask you about Jackson when he played at Detroit Consortium, something along the lines of "Is this guy not good enough to get an early offer from UK??"

(The #1 player who I'd ask that question about these days is 2018's Silvio De Sousa)

It's odd to see Jayson Tatum over Josh Jackson though, I don't buy that at-all.. seems dated, and pretty stupid TBH..

Fultz looks overrated in that mock to me too. I'd take Nlitikina or Fox with no hesitation.

UK never pursued Jackson because of some red flags from compliance dept.

You've seen him play? I caught a few games during the U18 tournament and he looked like the real deal.

No I just know his name for a couple years. Didn't know he was a NBA prospect. His dad played in the German league for a decade or so. That's how I knew about him. Dad was one of those players who we call "railway crossing gates" in German. 5 fouls to give and sometimes flagrant ones...

Hartenstein's got great face-up potential. Projected near the top-10 now, seems like he got the talent to go higher though. Playing with pro's will serve him well, he must improve his shot selection.

He kind of projects like a left handed, Derrick Favors sized version of Keith Van Horn, thats not quite the shooter.. IMO

The Dirk comparisons are obviously far-fetched. Posted the U18 highlights somewhere already so here's these

Terrance Ferguson has committed to Alabama, according to his coach Ray Forsette.

Always reminded me a bit of Zach LaVine. He's a pure SG though, and a more reliable shooter.

Good for the SEC. Back to back days of getting 5stars (Auburn and Alabama).

Won't take Pearl long to get the Tigers prowling.

Not saying it for shock value. He actually reminds me of Hayward, check out how Rodions handles the ball. Really long arms too, probably has a standing reach near 9ft.

Heh, Thon Maker is still shrouded in mystery at this point, and with his brother around it's easy for them to kick up dust in any direction. I still think Kentucky will swoop in and get him somehow. Arizona St. seems to be the favorite at this point.

You know there's a second Bongo right? Class of '18, he's already the same size as Myck, and holds offers from Indiana and Virginia Tech. his OFFICIAL mixtape just dropped;

Andrew Jones from Texas, was underrated because he blew his knee out. This summer he exploded onto the scene. No one improved their value quite like he did. he went from nondescript to high-priority, he did it fast and in convincing fashion too. He's probably still picking up an offer every day. Seems like a player with a high ceiling.

I think he uploaded these vids on youtube himself, the footage is from him freshly back from knee surgery too.. 6'4-6'5" combo guard with great athleticism, looks like he can handle and shoot too...

I'm btw very surprised considering how highly the '17 draft has been projected by you guys all those years to see 2 Germans in lottery range there. Or it's just Givony doing politics.
