LOL - Tyson Fury wins the heavyweight championship and it's like the 11th story on ESPN.
Love Wladimir - guys a class act and a great fighter...but borrrrrringggggggg. Fury seems like a head case but may be what the heavyweight division needs - a little controversy and some personality. That and a good American fighter - which I thought was going to be Deontay Wilder; but he seems content fighting tomato cans and trolls who say mean things about him on the internet.
Wlad has finally been dethroned!! I watched his last loss live in 2004 vs Lamon Brewster, he got floored. They used to say he had a glass chin back then. That was still a great fight IMO. Fury had him so flustered it was glorious.
Fury talked so much **** too... I'm still in complete shock about that fight, and the lack of urgency from Wlad, That was so decisive - I knew that even in Germany the refs wouldn't have jobbed Fury. It would've been the worst robbery I've ever seen if Wlad even got a draw.
Wlad looked old though, bottom-line. Max hit the nail on the head when he said
"Is part of getting older not wanting it as bad as you once did??"
Klitchko didn't want it, his corner was telling him exactly how to win the fight, and he didn't have the will to pull it off. If Wlad fought like he did in the last round throughout, it'd have probably been different. He needed to keep stepping thru Fury's jab and firing straight right hands, he would've caught him but he was way too busy headhunting - terrible job of doing body work by Wlad too.
The Heavyweight division is now up for grabs!!!! Fury won't be able to defend that title for long. He was ducking Povetkin, who's 6'2' and 220lbs. Joseph Parker is the heavyweight to watch IMO. That dude just needs a title shot, he'll finish the job(in convincing fashion)
Also this Erickson Lubin K.O. yesterday is worth posting here. Dude's gonna be big-time, a headliner. He's got dynamite in both hands.

Yesterday was a legendary day in Boxing. 4 massive cards going off across the globe. I caught about 15 fights. Then watched my Oklahoma Sooners obliterate Oklahoma state, to cement their spot in the playoffs. The Jazz won too!
