This feels like deja vu.. Currently Espn's Draft Machine has us drafting at number 6 and taking Harrison Barnes.

How will Dwill affect the Nets the rest of the season? Do we hope he misses some games with his injured wrist? Will it take them time to adjust?
 
Every lottery pick has chance to be a top three pick when the lottery order is decided.
Jazz could get lucky.
 
Yep. I think the Jazz need to get a top 5 pick for it to be a franchise type player. That is assuming there is no lockout and players actually declare..
 
This years draft is rumored to be one of the worst in recent history. It makes perfect sense that we would get a top 3 pick this year

I do think there are a couple players who could potentially be franchise players. Barnes and Irving. Not sure about the others.

6.3% first, 7.1% 2nd, 8.1% 3rd, plus 0.8% or less for 11th through 14th. I'm not holding my breath. At 31%, it's much more likely Jazz get unlucky and fall below 6th.

Perry Jones or Terrence Jones sounds intriguing. Terrence is a rich man's Gordon Hayward: used to be a PG before suddenly growing 6 inches. There's even a DWill in this draft (Derrick Williams). Wouldn't that be hilarious if the Jazz drafted him? Not likely, though, because he's a tweener like Beasley or Marvin Williams and will probably end up as a PF. Leonard from SDSU is also a possibility. SF seems to be the deepest position in this draft. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jazz draft a SF with the NJ pick and then package their pick or GS's (or both) to acquire a good veteran SG.
 
Is it bad that all the guys I like are PF's. D-Will(Arizona's) is a beastly talent. Jared Sullinger is a highly skilled big man that is compared to Kevin Love. A guy like Marcus Morris from Kansas who's projected to go later I predict will have a pretty solid nba career. His twin brother Markieff will be a steal wherver he goes, 3rd most efficient per 40 player in NCAA's.

But otherwise there is a lot of unproven young(freshman) talent, that's what makes me fear the jazz panic and take Fredette. I hope that doesn't happen.

havent someguys on here posted repeatedly that it takes multiple top 5 picks to win a championship?
if so arent harris and favors top 5 picks? so 1 more top 5 pick might take us over the hump
 
Does it mean then that we need to tank badly and get 1 more lottery pick for free because chances are there won't be next season?
 
Deron is moving, his wife is having a baby, and His new coach is Avery Johnson. That is working against him. But Deron is now pissed and pissy Deron would always push the ball right back at the guy that just beat him--sometimes he would try so hard he would turn it over more often he would beat the guy. I don't think Deron can get the Nets to the playoffs, but who do you think will win more games the rest of the season Jazz or Nets???
