OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

Today is the day I stop worrying about what seed we get. As long as we make it in to the playoffs healthy, I'll be happy with whoever we get.

realistically this was always the case. I think hoping for this that or the other seed has been getting ahead of ourselves ..

The time for worrying about which seed we`ll get, is over. We`re gonna inflict some major ****ing pain on any team, and they will fear us.

You're crazy.

Especially with GSW looking a bit iffy lately.

Yeah GSW dipping at exactly the right time...for Utah. I would love love love to upset the #1 seed. I always want the bigger opportunity for the Jazz than the safer path. Let greatness happen!

Upsetting the Spurs would be just as epic as upsetting the Warriors. Either way whoever you upset in the 1st round, Spurs or Warriors, chances are likely you will face the other team in the conference finals (if you get there).

Road to the finals doesn't get much harder than Spurs, Thunder, Warriors.

Too bad for them though, this road has no exits!

You just miss the game where the Spurs only won because of a miracle shot by Tony Parker?
True but I think the game against the warriors meant more to the warriors (trying to make history) than the spurs game meant to them (locked into the two seed)

That's not to say the spurs didn't want to win but they probably were not as motivated as the warriors.

A tough loss. But I respect the Spurs players and franchise and not the Warriors and that has eased the sting.

Our defense is quietly getting the job done. I feel like it's now the Jazz identity and not a temporary thing.

The players have bought in to defense and I've observed it long enough to believe it's legit.

Interesting that we are still right on track after two heart-breakers. GSW and SA were always losses. 42 and maybe 43 is still there for us to take. Even losing to the Clippers on Friday would have us on schedule (of course from that point we have to win out.). The 5 seed is out of reach, but the 6 isn't. Memphis is going to keep losing, we'll be fine.

Problem is Memphis already has 42 wins. I don't see many scenerios where 42 wins doesn't get them in the playoffs. We need to do some good work this last week of the season to make sure we get in. Playoffs or Bust. Hail Churro and all who follow.

Actually we could definitely win the last 4 and get 43 wins. Then even the 6th seed and an OKC faceoff is possible because :

1) Memphis has 4 very tough games and nothing else to finish the season (including Dallas and GS twice), so they could stay at 42 wins especially with everybody injured or gone on their team.

2) If Houston loses tonight in Dallas they can't do better than 42 wins either.

3) If we beat Dallas at Home, they can't get beat us either because we get the tie breaker and then they couldn't do better than 43 wins.

For the Jazz the key is now obviously beating both LAC and Dallas at home. Tonight game between Dallas and Houston is the most important outside of those 2 games.

Everything from 6th to 9th rank is possible, but they still have like 80 % chance of postseason.

Clippers are locked into the 4th seed. Decent chance DeAndre Jordan and/or Chris Paul rest against us.
Fingers crossed

I noticed that no Western Conference team grant discounts to the Jazz this season, they know the Jazz are not a an easy team to face in the playoffs.
***ing Popovich played Leonard 38 minutes yesterday.
