Anybody here ever been to India?

Planning on flying to Delhi at the end of June for my friend's wedding. I am just diving into the visa process and from what I can tell, it is a disjointed cluster ****. Has anybody here gone through this process? Any suggestions for travel companies that could help expedite the visa process?

Good luck! It took my sister 3 months to get a visa for Venezuela. Not the same circumstance but I've heard it's a bitch of a process nonetheless.

I used to travel there on business a lot. I can't figure out why they refer to that place as a third world country. It's actually pretty advanced for being so close to Kentucky.

How recent was that? Did she like it? I think it would be kind of sweet to go there right now just to a ground view of the current chaos....those are always the most interesting travel experiences. Not that it wasn't crazy before.....

I concur. I have only 3 places on my bucket list to visit before I die... Madagascar, Galapagos and New Zealand.

Those are three good ones, but I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to visit India if you got the opportunity. I'd go in a heartbeat.

Call me a chicken but safety is a major concern for me in that area.
