The respondents were probably all remembering how they had no say when they moved as children and probably thought it was more fair in other families.

I have three daughters. One of their favorite past times is to disagree on what to eat at virtually every meal.
 
My wife is good at having something every one likes and they don't get it until they have some of the other stuff. For example, #1 isn't a fan of potatoes, but loves corn. She doesn't get the corn until she eats some potatoes. #3 is the opposite. She doesn't get potatoes until she eats corn.
