2016 NBA Playoff Thread

Cavs have no chance. They matchup poorly vs GSW. Curry is just unreal, such a talent. And Warriors have home court.

Cavs have no chance.

I think that is a dumb thing to say.

All along I have said that the top 4 teams (warriors, thunder, cavs, spurs) are all too good to count any of them out until they are actually out.

If you have curry, lebron, or kd on your team then you always have a chance. (Westbrook, Thompson, irving, leonard, aldridge don't hurt either)

These playoffs are just proving once again and always that star power rules the nba.
That's why the jazz are currently hopeless as title contenders. Hayward as your best player is not good enough. Jazz need Exum to be a star or they need to hit a homerun in the next few years in the draft... Or less likely, they need to get a star in a trade..... Or even less likely, free agency.

The draft is the key. They need to get a homerun hit in the draft in the next 2 or 3 years.

Ok, I did not take injuries into consideration. If Curry goes down then yes, Cavs have a chance.
Curry didn't go down last year and the cavs didn't have irving or love and the cavs still had a chance.

Lebron averaged 36 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists in the finals last year.

It's just silly that you give one of the greatest players of all time no chance at all to beat a healthy opponent. Especially when that all time great player has irving and love on his team and frye playing out if his mind and the X factor jr Smith and modern day rodman tristan Thompson..... The cavs definitely have a chance. They have lebron. Maybe you have not watched basketball in the last ten years but lebron is very very good.

So you are saying GSW this year is the same team like last year? Seriously?

Sorry to burst your bubble but Curry is better than Lebron this year and Cavs supporting cast sucks on defense. Yeah Irwing and Love are great on offense but they are liabilities on defense. Thompson was outplayed by Biyombo, he is so overrated. They are offensive minded team who likes to run and shoot threes - to bad GSW has better offense, longer bench, better shooters and runs better as well! Plus home court. Sorry. Unless injury to Curry happens this series is not going past 6 games.

It went six games last year. Warriors were healthy. Cavs were not.
Sorry.

Btw I picked the warriors to win the series. But it's incredibly dumb to think that the cavs have no chance.

If I'm comparing rosters, I don't see how GSW loses this.

JR Smith is going to get TORCHED by Klay. Kyrie is going to get TORCHED by Steph. Lebron can be guarded by Draymond. Barnes can cover Frye and/or Love.

They got lots of length, and multiple covers. Iggy can guard Lebron if they wanna move Draymond to Love.

Again, GSW is tailormade to stifle the Cavs in every sense. I say Dubs in 6.

It's the CURSE I tell ya... Clay Bennet should not have stolen that team from Seattle, ...

As long as Bennet's still part owner, I believe they'll never win a thing.

You could say the same thing in the opposite way.

Curry can't guard irving and will get torched.
Cavs are much better at going small so you won't see adams and kanter big slow lugs getting switched onto curry and klay. Those screens for gsw won't be as effective.
Lebron will torch draymond or iggy (last year in finals, with no other threats besides lebron, lebron torched iggy and draymond for 36 points per game.)
Love will over power barnes.
Cavs have been the better three point shooting team in the playoffs so they could potentially beat gsw at their own game.
Cavs will be healthier and more rested.
Cavs will grind and beat down the warriors physically.
Jr Smith and shumpert are a better tandem of defenders against klay than anything they have faced yet.
I recall last year delly gave curry all kinds of trouble.

Blah blah blah.

Fact is that the cavs have steamrolled everyone so far. They are peaking right now. They are healthy. They have a top 3 player of all time. Plus two other all stars. Plus role players playing their best.
Cavs took them to 6 games last year with no irving and no love.

It's dumb to count out either team. Hell, it's dumb to count out any team in any finals ever.
If you are in the finals then you are really really good.
This isn't gsw against the pistons or something. Smd

Just like so many people were just recently counting out the warriors in the series that just ended.
If you have talent like steph and klay then you never count their team out no matter what the matchups look like on paper.
If you have a team with lebron, irving, and love on it then you never count that team out no matter what the matchups look like on paper.
