Jazz answer to Golden States ,Death Lineup

Dante Exum (PG) 6'6" vs. Steph Curry (PG) 6'3"
Rodney Hood(SG) 6'8" vs Klay Thompson (SG)6'7"
Alec Burks (SG) 6'6" vs Andre Igoudala (SG)6'6"
Gordon Haywood (PF)6'8" vs Harrison Barnes (PF)6'8"
Trey Lyles (C) 6'10" vs Draymond Green (C)6'7"

Jazz don't have the Dubs rep but they look like they will be able hungry to play against the Dubs death lineup.Jazz will have so much flexibility next year .

I like Favors but I'm not sure of his 265#'s ,I really want to see him drop 10#'s to 255lbs.With Exum coming back I don't know how Favors will get up and down the court with Draymond leading the break.Now Lyles is 235#'s and can shoot 3's and kick and drive to the hoop.

Did you watch the games in Utah between Jazz and GS ,the Jazz length bothered GS and they were tight games ,this without Exum playing defense at the pt .
Guys can laugh all they want but the Jazz are going to be healthy next year and their young vets that will be strong and fast.

Jazz lost the 1st game to GS 106-103,Neto and Burke combining for 2/12 shooting
Jazz lost to GS in overtime 103 -97 ,Mack shooting 5/17

Didn't do as good at GS ,but as you can see Jazz suffered at PG

Jazz are going to be very good on defense next year,I don't think very many ppl will be laughing at them
 
A team that doesn't make the playoffs are not on the level of a defending championship team who is currently defending that title...
Get real.Draymond Green would drop a massiv tripel double if Lyles was guarding him

So the way to beat GS's death line-up is to attempt to put out a similar style line-up, but clearly not as good? Makes sense
 
Exum
Hood
Hayward
Lyles
Favors


That's a much better grouping for competing with the Death Line up.
 
Oh, so that's the magic formula. Just use same or taller player at every position and suddenly they will play better defense and offense than the champions?. Who knew it was that easy.

Lyles at C? No thanks. Remember the Booker/Lyles pairing? Yikes. Lyles doesn't have the strength or rebounding to deal with Green. Also, you want Favors to drop weight just to match GSW? What about other teams and playing against bigger centers?

I think you play your best five players and make some small adjustments according to matchup. You don't sit your best defensive players and expect to play better defense.

Sure we can match up size wise but they have steph and klay. We don't. That's why their lineup works.

Green helps those guys too. Goes both ways.. GSW improved to a championship caliber team when Green got his chance. He is a Very high iq player. That swhy I LOL when people question Denzel Valentine in the NBA.. These 2 are so similar except one Is a forward and the other is a guard
 
That lineup is awful defensively. Taking our best or 2nd best perimeter defender and putting him inside, Burks can't guard anybody....and we have no interior defense! None!

Lol at the idea GS would only put up 90 on that lineup. I swear some of you don't actually watch basketball.
 
2 years ago before GS was champions ,Curry was 26 and Green and Thompson were 24,meaning they were young veterans....Now Jazz are entering that stage ,Hayward is 26,Favors 24,Gobert 23,Hood 23,Exum close to 21,Burks 24 and Lyles close to 21 too.....Unless some Jazz fans are so down on these players that they think they won't ever become good then I can see where your coming from BUT I don't ride that boat !! Jazz were picked last year to become the top up and coming team because of their youth and great defense. Of course we know injuries derailed those expectations.
OKC showed length does bother GS and Jazz minus Exum more than held their own against GS at their home court,THEY didn't play in AWE.Kind of mind boggling some fans have such a poor view of this Jazz team.Jazz have 7 keepers ,all 1st round draft choices.

Some unbelievers here ....that's not me putting out that lineup ...that's who the Jazz have on their team and who they have to work with !!!! Who's to say Coach Snyder doesn't try that lineup when he sees GS trotting out a 6'7" (Green) to play (C).

And GS does start Bogut ,like Utah will start Gobert ...but some nites Bogut isn't getting major minutes. GS usually puts their Death Lineup when their ready to put teams away.I'm saying Jazz have a younger team that will be athletic and long,all high draft choices.This is where the difference in the view of the Jazz differ,some here think their ready to take off into a really good team and some here only trash on the Jazz and think their never going to be good ...I think their going to be really good next year.
 
tHING is Curry and Klay are each better then any single Jazz player. Jazz do not have anyone on those 2 level. They do not have a big guy with fire like Green. Favors is awfully passive of a personality.
