Following 2016 potential draftees

Let's also remember that the state of Utah is a perfect match for who Hayward is as a person.

I also think about how the Spurs got guys like Duncan, Parker and Ginoboli to all take less than they clearly could have gotten as a sacrifice for the whole that is the team. As a Spurs man, Lindsey, I would hope, will try to convince Hayward to do the same.

I think getting a 2017 1st for Burks and Burke should be a priority but I'm not sure how realistic it is. Having said that, I would strongly consider trading Burks to the Kings with the unencumbered right to swap picks with them next year. If not them, another perennial loser.

Suns are heavily rumored to still be looking to move one of Knight or Bledsoe.
Should we have interest?

I'd be interested in Bledsoe, but his injuries scare me. He probably will cost more than I'm willing to give up. (for example, in the latest dunc'd on podcast Danny Laroux has the idea of Hood for Bledsoe, I am not sure I'd do that, but that's probably the bare minimum it will take).

Bledsoe yes, Knight maybe.

If the idea is to have Knight run your offense, then hell no. As just a scorer? Then sure. But he's not a smart player at all.

Boston will swap with the Celts in 2017 so the Nets are off the table.

"Raptors receive the Clippers 2017 first-round pick via Bucks (lottery protected in 2017-2019, or 2020 and 2021 second round picks."

Lower but interesting. Maybe we trade Burke and Burks for this pick. Sign Blaze and draft Korky.

Not sure if this would affect the 2017 or 2018 draft but there is some talk of increasing the age limit to enter the draft... if the age limit rose would the great 2017 class be pushed to 2018? I don' think it would kick in until 2018, but may change how we look at some picks. I think the timing of the CBA negotiations would almost have to push the change to 2018.

Depending on when it kicked in one draft may lose many of it's top prospects. I might be willing to include a 2018 1st round pick to get a deal done if I was DL.

I would not move Burks right now. His value is really low compared to what it could be by midseason. His contract in the new cap environment is great.

Wait until guys like Crabbe get $15M per year and his value will look so much better. Will take GMs and owners time to calibrate to new numbers.

I'd break the phone if they asked for Hood. That's a BIG NO from me.

I'd be more than happy to take my chances with Bledsoe and his injury history.

20, 6 and 4, PER of 20, TS 56% and he defends.

Those are all-star numbers. Just 26.

He might be going full Brandon Roy. No way I'd give up Hood for him right now.

If healthy I'd love home but if healthy they don't trade him.

I'm not sure what I'd give up for him, but sometimes you have to take risks to go up. And he's a talent worth taking a risk for. Whether that's Hood, I don't know.
