What would you give up for Westbrook?

Let's also assume that LeBron would then join the Jazz for the vet minimum, and that Kawhi would then force a trade here, but only if they could both have breakfast in bed for a month. Would anybody here get up early for a month to make that happen?

I would trade Favors, Burks, Neto and Pleiss and nail gun a corsage to Cy's left nut.

Yes.

I would. Good question. You should make a thread about it for more responses.

Good for you. Feel better?

Read the tea leaves if you don't believe me. Teague is a better player now and in the future than Hill. Yet, we traded for Hill.

Teague is an all star. The Jazz think Exum will be better. The Jazz think Exum might be better than Hill by the end of this year.

So...you keep on being you.

I believe the idea is to look like near contenders this season an pray that Exum blows up so that we can convince Westbrook to come here in a sign trade deal for Exum an like 4 draft picks. Other option is GSW fails again an KD wants to move on.

Other option is sense Houston blew up an we have OKC pick protected so sending it to them makes no sense. we do a three way.

Harden to OKC.
Westbrook to Jazz
5 first rounders an cash an Exum an one of Burks or Hood to Rockets.

Again this only happens when we can franchise tag Westbrook 5 seasons.

If we were going to trade a ton for a player, we should be trading for Simmons. Lyles, Gobert, and Exum will hit their stride about the same time Simmons would hit his which is about the same time GS, Cle and SA should be on the downside of their runs. Emerging with those 4 is a title contender. Our current path is maybe a West Finals.

I understand anything is possible, but our play should be for Simmons mid-year or next offseason if our current experiment with Hill, JJ, and Diaw with alpha Hayward doesn't work out.

Id have a 10 meals breakfast menu printed out in 5 minutes and ask what kind of drinks they want. Left side of the bed or right?
My wife can dress in a French maid outfit to deliver the meals if tall, busty whites girls do it for them.

I'd give nothing for him. Westbrook is a supreme ballhog and is disruptive to any kind of offense. He is athletically gifted, of course, and plays with intensity, but it is very difficult to build a team around a player like him. It is true that the Thunder almost beat the Warriors, but the Warriors were already in shambles at that time. Besides, the only reason why the Thunder offense worked through the last few years is that Durant was not only smart and versatile, but was very accomodating to Westbrooks ballhogging.

Here's the thing. Westbrook couldn't get it done with Durrant and Ibaka. Why would I gut the team to get that guy. What I would have left wouldn't be as good as Durrant and Ibaka. So I am basically screwed. I'd gut the team for Lebron in today's NBA and that is it. He is the only "superstar" I could do that for. He is the only guy that I am sure is a function of his superstardom being entirely his and not due to the players or system he is currently in. He is the only sure thing that you could build around quickly and be sure to get results. I don't know what happens if you surround Steph Curry with mediocre talent. I know that if you take away Ibaka and Durrant, Westbrook misses the playoffs.

What I also don't know is what happens to the current Jazz players if you give them a team that isn't significantly gimped. I know that most "superstars" seem to emerge overnight once they get legitimate talent placed around them. I'd like to see the best of the Jazz roll without having to depend on either a third string or d league point guard. I'd like to see a Jazz team that didn't have to mount yet another 4th quarter comeback because their horrible bench got completely boned in the third. I want to see how some of the Jazz players grow when they know that they aren't swinging the last pass to Chris Johnson who shoots a mid 20's three point percentage. I'm excited to see a Jazz team that can bother the other team's backcourt instead of getting abused by three quarters of the point guards in the league. I'm excited to see a Jazz where Slow Joe is the 5th wing rather than the first guy off the bench.

At the end of the season we will have an idea if we have any "stars" on the team. I can't be certain that, as currently constituted, we don't have several. The last thing I want to do is give any of those guys over to OKC to give Kanter any relief. Screw them.

So, yeah, gut the team for Westbrook? No thanks.
