What's new

For those of you who don't like Jimmer...

Not only just because he doesn't play defense, but also because all these highlight reels ever do it show the one thing that guy does best. So for Jimmer we get 3 pt'er after 3 pt'er. For Derrick Williams all we get is dunk after dunk (that is true for most players). These kinds of videos show nothing of any kind of substance about a player, just that he can shoot and/or dunk.
This is very helpful information. Do they also leave out the shots that don't go in? Based on what I've been seeing in highlight reels, I'd been wondering whether any of these guys ever miss.

Jay Bilas hit it right on the head: "Jimmer a great college player, but he couldn't guard a bank with a machine gun. Guys going by him at will. He had a GREAT year, though."

Ok, so nearly everyone is jumping off the Jimmer train. Anyone still want to use the 12th pick on him?

He'll be there.

The big key for him will be in the workouts. Will he put some effort into guarding his man? if he does a decent job that will help him a lot. Do like the fact that one on one he was still able to take those small Florida guards to the hoop. Think he was just to gassed at the end to do so at that point.

I was wondering why he wasn't going to the hole, he was getting layups or fouls, or good kick-outs to open teammates.
It was annoying that they were setting things up time after time at the end for a 3 attempt.
Maybe he was sick of teammates bricking the open shots so he figured he would rather be the one bricking?

I still think he will be drafted in the late lottery, and he will help whatever team he goes to.
Any Jimmer haters will wish he was on the Jazz if they don't take him, because you always want someone we don't have.
Our team sucks, other players are awesome.

I still think he's one of a few good options at the second lottery pick. My opinion hasn't changed. The guy's still a stud.

Reminds me of Juan Jose Barrea of Dallas.... who serves as a solid backup to Jason Kidd. Only Jimmer can seemingly score much better.

It might be true, but I think the Jazz are the only one who would consider taking him with a 12th pick (let alone a 6th pick as some are saying).

We actually have no idea if the Jazz are even remotely interested in Jimmer. I guess it's just easy to connect the dots because he's a white boy who already lives in Utah.

Seems like so many people are critical of Jimmer's defense. My question is, why isn't Jimmer a better defender? The guy seems quick enough on the college level, seems to have a great attitude and seems to just as competitive as he possibly could be. So what's stopping him from being a better defender? My guess is that he likes to shoot much more than he likes to defend, and that's a red flag for me.
