Following potential 2017 draftees...

If Harry Giles is there at 24 he would be that type of pick. I have been watching a lot of duke games and he is still tentative off that left leg.

Give him a year behind favs to heal, learn and strengthen and he could be the steal of this draft but much as he could be the steal he could be the bust of the draft although drafting at 24 wouldnt be that much of a bust just his potential.

The problem with saying s spurs draft doesnt make sense. They are known for draft solid players late in the draft. Then adding free agents around them. So late in the first the Jazz need to say Gobert and Hayward are the franchise who can we put around them to make them better.

Josh Hart is completely a spurs type of pick. Doesnt do anyting great but is good at most things. He is a warrior and a competitor.

Bam Adebayo is a high ceiling pick. My concern with him is he doesnt have any game away from the basket and that isnt a great fit next to gobert

Justin Jackson is also a spurs type of fit because he is perfect for the system that the Jazz run. His mid range game is perfect and his 3 pt shooting is decent.

Rodions Kurucs is a solid pick that has the potential to be very good although he could be redundant to Hayward and not a compliment to hayward unless he can play the 2.

I like swanigan as a stretch 4 who can create space for gobert but I question his fit in utah considering his history and family here.

If the Jazz are completely sold on a player like Markanen a move up to get him would be amazing next to gobert. Gobert fixes a lot of his problems. If he slides at all on draft night he would be a great target. The question then becomes what do you give up to get him. Hood?

Can Giles shoot it? That's pretty important nowadays as a PF to be able to stroke it.

Tyler Lydon is actually pretty athletic. He'd be a good pick for us by draft range and need at #24.

In terms of physical attributes, Terrance Ferguson is pretty ideal for an athletic wing. Jazz would have to package picks and move up to get a shot at him.

I still really like OG Anunoby as a tough, defensive-minded wing. But he's another guy we'd have to move up to get.

Donovan Mitchell also has to be on our radar.

Miles Bridges is returning to Michigan State. I'd like to know who is advising him. I don't think that is a good decision at all. I hope he doesn't suffer an injury or declined play.

Just saw that Humphries is leaving KY. Just a couple of guys now away from KY having a all Freshman team. I say Gabriel and Jones are ready for the NBA and we shall see what the Frosh can do for KY.

BTW, scratch Vezenkov off your boards, guys. He's not coming over this year it seems. He gave an interview in which he said he's not thinking about the NBA. Says he wants to play a couple more years for Barcelona before exploring the NBA options. Says he's not ready for the NBA.
