Man, what a series from G-Time. Take away his food poisoning Game 4 and look at these stats:

27.2 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3.3 APG

45.7% from three on 5.8 attempts per game

43-45 from the free throw line

Superstar status.. Hayward has earned the max contract he has coming to him.

And he beat Point God in 7 games. I didn't see the rising star in the east (Giannis) winning a series. Hayward has arrived.
 
I think the torch late in games needs to be handed to GH. Obviously Jesus is still a threat to have but I would like to see the ball more in Haywards hands taking the double teams and letting him do something with it. Like finding Joe open in the corner.

Absolutely superstar status. I'm a big believer in the importance of playoff success to be considered a superstar. Hayward can check off that box now.

Hayward had a really good series, and one where once again he shows that he continues to evolve as new pressure is put on him. At one point I would have never imagined him being a first option on a playoff team, but he has put in the work, and gone through the bumps in the road in order to become a really top level NBA player. With how physical this series was to average 25+ (minus the FP game) with good efficiency is really impressive.

Who wants to bet against him getting better next season? Hopefully this run has shown him that that the team can be competitive. He's definitely worth a max contract.
 
I bought one of these Hayward shirts two years ago. I was onto Hayward's greatness well before you Jazz fans.

My next purchase will be this Joe Johnson jersey. I know basketball and I see great things from that guy. You Jazz fans don't know about him yet.

Folks, Hayward isn't there, yet. I don't think he ever will be.

He's a very nice player on a team. A fantastic piece to have. But let's be real, other teams are not game planning against him. He is not at that level. He is not the threat that must be stopped.

I hope he and the Jazz play well and give us two or three competitive games. That's a realistic look hope for this coming series.

No, but they have KD who is a super-sized human and probably a top 5 perimeter defender if he is truly locked in. The problem with the Warriors is they have size and length on the perimeter out the ***. Harder to get mismatches.

Teams arent game planning for Hayward? Wut? I'm sure Clippers were drawing up their gameplan and Doc got to Hayward and was just like "Ehh, just put your hand up if he shoots".

You are truly a talent scout. Putting it out on the line for the young guy, Joe Johnson, expecting great things from his budding NBA career. I guess only time will tell if this guy has what it takes to make it in the NBA.

They are just simply so ****ing good.
I mean klay, iggy, durant, draymond and even Livingston will probably all get some time on hayward.
All of those guys can defend
