Following potential 2017 draftees...

You may be right but in the recent BS podcast with Haralabob, Haralabob pointed out that the Gobert, Jokic, Kawhi, and Antetokounmpo picks as having the similarity of all being big for their positions. Haralabob says size is the physical trait with the most upside and the franchises that find these guys late are the ones willing to take a flier on a guy with elite measurables.

Very interesting, obviously Harlabob really knows his ****... One of the best posts in this thread. I've pretty much been saying and suspected this for a great number of years, well before I posted here..

It also explains why players like Hasheem Thabeet and Saer Sene can fool some very sharp eyes.. and perhaps the flipside, why teams were hesistant to take Steph Curry in the top-5..

They lost but this was on full display by the Bucks in that raptors game, they obviously subscribe to this theory.

Anibogou has a Dx scouting video out. Man, he makes Bam seem small.

You'll never admit just how mny of your posts in these threads echo my comments from MONTHS earlier. You know it tho and most others here do too.. I don't really have to pull your card.

I said exactly this immediately after their first matchup, I didn;t even need to see extended minutes to reach that conclusion, in just flashes it was obvious.. I didn;t delete my comments from this thread, find the date from that game, click back in this thread to that date and you'll find it.

This also some pretty good proof of what I've said all along, most people here are just echoing DX's thoughts..

TJ Leaf's DX video came out. In a way he kind of reminds me of Diaw. Some of his post moves are similar and his hook shot looks like Diaw's. Also has the lazy upright defense that Diaw brings, but without the bulk to defend the post. An interesting player if he can add strength and toughness.

He doesn't seem to having any red flag weaknesses. That's pretty rare to find in a 24th pick. If we draft him, would basically be hoping he turns into the player Lyles was supposed to be.

one weakness that concerns me, not sure if id call it a red flag, is his FT shooting. seems like he should be better than 67% FTs.

Leaf has a ton of weaknesses. He's got a small frame. Not sure how much weight he can put on and he doesn't have good lateral quickness to make up for it.

Can he defend or rebound at a nba level?

It's not like we're talking top-5 or top-10 or even top-20. Of course players in our range are going to have weaknesses. I think Leaf brings a lot to the table to balance them out.

Ehh, much better players projected at 24 and 30 IMO. I'd rather take Kuzma in the 2nd round than Leaf in the first.
