What's new

Interesting that Hayward went with the peace sign. Please don't peace out G-Time!!!

The stillframe I thought was peculiar watching the replay was; once Hayward was subbed out at the end. When the camera panned to him after a meaningless Jazz basket he was looking up at the scoreboard with almost a look like - Is there any chance?? Ingles was next to him and had the presence of mind to be clapping for his teammates with a kinda dejected look.

That and a Rudy OReb and dunk were the moments that stood out to me the most in the game.

Ya if he leaves and we do nothing with the money we were going to spend on him.

But what if he leaves and we sign demar derozan or something?

How do we sign derozan when he's not even a free agent for 4 years? Plus, derozan is NOT better than Hayward

I wouldn't melt down. We have a better winning % when hayward doesn't play iirc. Even in the playoffs. (iirc we won the game when he had food poisoning)

We would still have quin and rudy, lots of draft picks and tons of money to spend.
Except for all the nonplaying time our youth got because Hayward might get angry with the Jazz if we put the future above him.

All you fans are like a desperate emo kids that are ready to fall in love with the first girl that winks at them. Even if she isnt that pretty.

Man do I hope he leaves. Then all of this dumb poop garbage I've been hearing since they drafted him will swing faster than David Locke changes his point of view when he feels that the company line changes.

You missed the point of my post which is that if hayward goes elsewhere then the jazz won't just shrug their shoulders and give up on the team.

No matter though. Hayward will be on the utah jazz next year.

TBH would you really care about that tiny extra few mill vs a chance to win a championship?

Clippers an GSW both know they can pull strings for Gordon. We know Gordon an Gobert have to convince Westbrook to arm up or Gordon is gone. LogGrad98 said it best but I got no link.

Hayward would be losing a hell of a lot more than "a few extra mil" if he was going to go to the Warriors or Clippers.

I definitely think we have the best chance to sign Hayward. We can offer the most money. We've got a good team to show him. I think a better team than Boston--but, Boston can argue that it's in the easier conference, I guess. Either way you still have to go through Lebron and/or Golden State to get a championship and frankly I'm not sure that's going to happen for any team until this Warriors team breaks up.

He would not sign with the Clippers. That's a disaster over there and they couldn't pay him. Larry Bird just left the Pacers, Paul George is next and they are heading for a rebuild. The Lakers are still a lottery team and even with Paul George they won't be ready. Maybe if Chris Paul were to sign there as well?

The Bulls have Jimmy Butler, no money, a bad owner, and a very unhappy roster.

Boston is the biggest threat, I guess. But he's now played with Snyder a lot longer than he was with Stephens. If that means anything.

I just don't see him leaving unless he's so unhappy with his first few seasons that he can't get over it or he can get a max contract from a team that is championship ready and I don't think there are any of those teams that can make that offer. Maybe the Spurs? What's their cap room?
