Dennis Lindsey called out Dante on 1280thezone

I don't think he's throwing him under the bus. But I think he issued a very strong challenge to him.

You have to take everything management says with a grain of salt, however. I say that because I don't buy it all that DL has some urgency in regards to Dante. The last thing Utah needs is for Dante to be just good enough that somebody gambles on him with a ridiculous contract to try and steal him. He either needs to be a sure thing or Utah needs to sign him on a fairly cheap contract.

The ideal situation as far as team building goes is for Dante to have one more year of development and then blow up after he is signed on a reasonable deal.

Both Hood and Dante make me nervous in that Utah could end having to match contracts that could end up being bad deals.

What's a 2 way contract

Each team gets two 2-way contracts. I think they are like 250K and they are D-League contracts. Teams can call them up a limited numbers of times for a limited number of NBA games. Not sure on the exact details.

Do they count against the 15 roster spots?

Why would you want to afford a Bogut? Does he get you closer to beating Golden State?

Bogut would go full Zaza on GS. Knock that mouth guard right out of Currys mouth (along with some teeth)!

I don't think anyone at GS would want to drive the ball into Bogut.

I think somebody like Bogut gives you a lift much larger than their minutes on the floor or stats. A couple things we really lack are nastiness and rebounding/interior defense off the bench. I think our ability to compete with GS is much greater than what the playoffs showed. I feel our team is a couple minor tweaks away from being legit and not major overhauls by trying to land another all-star. It's contingent on health but even with that we could use a little more quiet leadership, some real nastiness and someone who can grab a rebound. Bogut would be wonderful. Faried would be phenomenal.

Huh. DL wants Exum to have more urgency. So, it sounds like a mental issue. Weird. Who was it that said the Jazz were worried about Exum mentally? Weird.
Sounds like a potential work ethic thing to me, not a mental thing.
