Favors takes down all Jazz related stuff from his twitter

I don't think he's the answer to all issues, but here is why we should pursue him:

- he might sign here and we know many won't
- he could play some with Gobert considering the opponent
- if Gobert is our horse for the long haul, we dont need to ride him into the dirt. We need to be able to keep his minutes consistent to extend his career. A very good, different type center off the bench not only helps the 2nd unit, but also helps long term.

He is not worth his cost for this team

I like Favors. Seems like a very humble man. His progression hasn't been what I'd hoped (partially due to injury).

In a draft full of PFs in our range if Favors is traded and it's a good trade for Utah I'm OK with it. Phoenix would be a good trade partner as they've got a lot of PGs. Especially if they want to draft a PG - as there are a few good ones in their draft range (like Fox).

Remember all the arguing and anger on this board over letting Milsap and Jefferson walk for nothing...

I'd rather not see a repeat of that. If they know favors doesn't fit into long term plans I hope they act while they can still get an asset in return.

Those people arguing over that live in their own little fantasy world. Atlanta new Millsap was walking early this season. Why didn't they get anything for him?

Lots of people are giving Favors to much praise. He was benched for Diaw many games this year due to the fact that Boris is a good passer. Not a great scorer or defender. A passer. If you can't start over him you don't deserve 20+ million a year.
Favors had the whole off season to get healthy and he came in worse. He missed the whole pre season. And the first few weeks. And never looked even close to what he was 3 years ago.

You don't trade Favors thinking you can find his replacement in the 20's in the draft. That's foolish.

You trade Favors for an real NBA player, one who is borderline All Star level, who fits better with this team.

That is why PHX works. If they draft Ball, then they don't need Bledsoe, they need another big to defend behind Ball and Booker. Favors does that.

Utah doesn't "need" Favors as much as they need a PG or a SG that is about equal level to Favors (just under all Star level).

If we are playing old ball basketball, why try to modernize ourself by letting Favors go and get a small 4 instead.
Either do what you do best or dont do it.
I would keep Favors if we dont get a really good piece in return. Which i highly doubt we will.
And thinking Hayward will probably leave, he will be our only two way allstar level player. (Dont mention Gobert because as much as he is a beast defensively, he needs ton of work for his offense)

Our best lineups had JJ at the 4 and Rudy at the 5.
