If he has made enough money and only wants a ring then he should do everything he can and take as little money as necessary to go to the warriors lol
 
Look at how far the Jazz has come in just this year.



I'd stay and become the new Prince of Salt Lake City. I can never get that title in BOS unless I win 3-4 titles there.
 
Players in Hayward's age range will likely be screwed out of a title in the near term no matter what they do. Doesn't matter if he goes out east. GS looks to have a 4 year dynasty setup.
If Hayward takes 30m a year he has no chance at a ring, because there will be 3 players better than him willing to take to take 20m a year in Golden State.
Personally I would take the max in Utah, make your money while you can. See where the league is in 4 years, and make your next move accordingly.

The problem with this is that Hayward really wasn't close to making the All-NBA team. Jimmy Butler received 102 votes to make the 3rd team. Hayward could only muster 1/4th as many votes (27). Maybe Hayward thinks he gets more recognition from voters playing in a bigger market?
 
So let's say Hayward goes to LA with LeBron. I can only imagine all the nasty things y'all would say about him. Now I hope that happens but who says LeBron even wants to play with hayward?
 
Hate to bust y'all bubble but I think Bron would want a better player to team up with him if he went to LA. Hayward is not a top tier player and that's who LeBron would want next to him. another top 10player

Realistically, if you want an opportunity to prove your greatness, SLC is the right place . We have zero championships to dangle in front of free agents . However we possess the right coach, the right talent, and the right manager in Dennis Lindsey. If your a free agent, the Utah Jazz are as good as it gets. Because if your truly confident in your abilities in the NBA, then the Jazz make sense. The challenge of being the one that brings Utah it's first championship is they have to be confident in their abilities. All you have to do is do it one time and forever go in the history books.
 
If I'm Gordon with my hot wife, young kids, my life has nothing to do with what makes Utah a great place to live (skiing, mountain biking, moto, etc.) and the opportunity comes to go to a team with similar prospects for being great, I'm going to head to the city with the history, bigger market, better restaurants and entertainment, and the change that something new like that would bring. Utah loses all of its luster if you don't live for its outdoor pursuits. Plus in the off-season I can get away to my pads in Cali and Miami().

The thing is, as a NBA player, he can't do half the cool **** in SLC because it's too dangerous.

Exactly my point. All things being equal in terms of teams, which I think Utah and Boston kind of are, why in the hell would a ball player chose SLC over Boston? Of course, they don't make too many Rudy's.
 
If I were Hayward;

1) I'd sign a 3 + 1 MAX extension, finish what I started, allowing me to see what the Jazz can do over the next 3 years while seeing how things shake out over the next few seasons throughout the league. In 3 years I'll be 30, still in my prime and eligible for 35% of cap if I wish to stay or pull a KD and join a Championship team and win a chip.

2) If I want to leave now I'd tell the Celtics, the midget, their fans and their idea of me playing 3rd fiddle to **** right off and I'd hitch my wagon to the 76's freight train.

Fultz (rookie contract)
Hayward (MAX)
Simmons (rookie contract)
Saric (rookie contract)
Embiid (rookie contract)

imo that team could make it to the 2nd round next year and progress from there.
