Teodosic supposedly on his way

If Jimmer could shoot well enough in the NBA, he'd be playing.

He can't, so he isn't.

His shooting wasn't really why he bombed out. He was just too much of a liability on defense, and wasn't able to adapt his game to play a role. He could have had a JJ Redick type career otherwise.

He had to have the ball in his hands to do anything, and he wasn't good enough to have the ball in his hands.

If he could have learned to catch and shoot, he'd still be around. He has no valuable NBA skill. That is why he is not in the NBA.

You can say that about any incoming college player. Have you forgotten that Quinn coached him for a year? He knows if he can play or not? You are right no one really knows but that is why GMs get paid well to make those decisions.

There are plenty of examples where Euros with less success than Milos has had and have done well and even a few have become All-stars.

And yet he's never seen him play one game in the NBA. Therefor he doesn't know how good he will be in the NBA. All he has is speculation

False. He has played 1 pre-season NBA game and scored 26 points w/ 9 assist.

I'm all in on Teodosic. I think we might be overstating how bad his defense is. If we could get him for something like 3-years $30M I would be ecstatic.

A lot of mixed feelings about Teo here. I've seen him play for many years, would be fantastic to have him on the Jazz.
His basketball IQ is one of the highest in the world.
He is not athletic, but usually in good shape.
His offensive game is very good, he has very nice hesitation moves to trick quicker defenders.
His defense is ok, good positioning, probably would struggle defending the pick and roll though because he hasn't got the speed that many PG's have in the NBA.
Best comparison would be to Ingles, just take away some of his size and add more skill, and that is Teo.
Best fit on an NBA team would be of the bench, not starter.
Best position PG, could play SG too but that wouldn't maximize his talent.

So, I hope this helps some of the people here that don't know much about him.

In my opinion, the best case scenario is we get Hill and Teo as backup. The ideal money would be 8m/year, but that would be about the lowest he could be had for, I can see european teams offering him close to that, don't know if there are NBA teams that would offer him that or more.

Anyway, he's so much fun to watch! If you go to a game and Teo's playing you know you'll go home with a big smile on your face! :)

Thanks. This helps and makes me even more sure I don't want him

Teo played for CSKA when they played the Timberwolves in an exhibition game. IIRC, Teo had 26 pts and 9 assists on 50% shooting 4/7 from 3 in 29 minutes. Rubio played similar minutes.

Granted it was an exhibition game, but Minny played their starters a lot of minutes, and Teo's offense was excellent. His defense was just ok. I'm sure he would have a hard time with some elite guards in the league, but most other PG's in the league do too.

Honestly, our offense is so stagnant, getting a great passer like Teo on this team may be the boost this team needs. I would love to play with a great passer like Teo.
