Quotes from the Wolves forums after trading Rubio - "I wanna cry simply. I love Minny and Ricky"

Watching his highlight videos has me optimistic just based on the fact that most of the other players on his team are absolute scrubs. The wolves have been super top heavy for a long time it seems.

As a backup to a player like Hill I would be ecstatic. As our full-time starter I am more than a little skeptical. It could be a great thing, or it could stifle the offense if he cannot hit the open 3, since that is largely what our offense is geared to generate. We will see I guess. I for one really hope we are not done with the off-season just yet. A lot depends on the next few moves.

I would be worried about his shot if we still had Corbin. But I think Coach Q and crew can help him develop a weapon. He is near automatic from the free throw line, so it's not that he lacks the motor control or anything along those lines. What Slick Rick has though is damn good court vision and a very good defensive tenacity that is going to be even better with Gobert having his back. I've read in a few articles that some of his issues has to due with in-game fatigue spent from doing everything. Consider that the Wolves, outside of a few players, sucked. The Jazz, even without Hayward, are a better team and have overall better players. Long story short, he won't have to carry as much burden.

I think we'll be pleasantly surprised this upcoming season.
