What's new

Ricky Rubio / Eurobasket

Randolph has to step in both defensively and offensively. Dragic is tired and needs help and Doncic is injured.

Dragic ain't slowing down though and Randolph has 2 blocks in the 3rd quarter.

Man, I would have loved to watch the 4th quarter. I am leaving off work.

Ooh, I love that FIBA treats clear-path fouls as flagrant 1s, meaning you can get tossed for committing any combination of two.

Yeah with some of the European stars, they simply are not willing to be end of bench or 10MPG players in NBA unless they are paid handsomely for it and NBA teams don't pay much for players in such roles. Those players are paid much better in Europe to be stars and be loved and worshiped... + be closer to friends and family.

Plus less demanding schedule.

As a random tidbit, Klemen Prepelič, who replaced Dragič when he went out with 4 minutes to go and looked so assured in closing the game out, will be Diaw's teammate on Boris' new team.

I really liked Prepelic. He was the X factor for them. Serbia has to be kicking themselves for not being able to pull it out with Dragic and Doncic out. ESPN has two write ups on Doncic today.

Yes, their basketball school was the best in Europe for decades.

kinda crazy how good the ex-yugoslavian countries are at sports. serbia, bosnia, croatia, slovenia, montenegro all have a really good soccer team as well....

sadly for the ex-yugoslav counties are filled with caveman that can't get over their tribal mentality.

I posted in the draft thread about how many of the Serbian posters on the intl board I am on talked about how many of the Slovenian players came from Serbian backgrounds most notably Doncic and Dragic.

I'm just excited to see Rubio in an offense that isn't based around post play and high/low initiation. Got kind of old watching him play for Spain after a couple of games.

as someone from Kosovo, yes.

Serbia vs Russia about to start. Good chance to look at Bogdanovic before he starts his NBA career. Also see if AKs team can shock by getting to the finals.
When you say "AK's team" what do you mean?
Is AK playing? Is he the head coach? Assistant coach? Or simply his countrymen?
