This was one of the reasons he was the only Republican I have ever voted for.
 
Just to be clear, I'm not saying being Mormon is a problem. I just like that he wasn't the cookie-cutter conservative that Mormon politicians are supposed to be.

Known? No, but he didn't seek input from the church leaders like other governors/representatives have done. I would put my level of surprise at probably 0.000 on a scale of 0 to infinity. I just like that his religion might not be the card that gets played against him should he get that far.

Doesn't matter either way but I think he would be a great President. Would probably be Obamas biggest competition.
 
I kind of wondered when I heard his son attended Judge Memorial before moving to China.

That said, is the Mormon church allowed to practice in China? Are members allowed to gather for Sunday worship?

I'm sure Palin or Huckabee will have plenty of mud to sling onto Huntsman come election time. He'll be labeled Obama's lapdog, a commie, a polygamist, and several other things that don't have one speck of truth. The very fact that he was bashed by repubs when he accepted his appointment in Obama's administration speaks volumes.
 
I love it. A Mormon who wants to experience all there is to offer, takes the time to learn about other religions, and actually uses his head -- is now getting bashed on both sides. I love the way he thinks. I'm so-so on his politics, but the fact that he doesn't blindly follow ANYTHING, including his faith, makes me at least respect him.
