What's new

We suck

ud be surprised how much we miss George Hill.

I know he's having a terrible season in sac town thus far, but I think Ghill was a snyder kind of player. Like snyder took a good PG and turned him GREAT.

We miss last years version of GHill but maybe he's struggling this year because he has lost a step. I've only watched a couple of his games but in those two games he looked nothing like the guy we had last year. Maybe it is just a system thing.

Seriously, I think we just lack legit young talent. Losing Hayward for nothing was brutal. Granted, we have Gobert and Mitchell, but looking around the league, that isn't enough anymore.

Looking teams that started the rebuild the same time as us we have:

T'Wolves: Wiggins, Towns, Butler
76ers: Embiid, Simmons, Fultz
Bucks: Giannis, Jabari, Middleton, Brogdon
Knicks: Porzingis, Ntilikina, Hardaway Jnr
Chicago: Lavine, Markkanen, Dunn
Pacers: Turner, Oladipo, Sabonis
Lakers: Ball, Ingram, Randle, etc.

I could go on and on... there are a lot of teams now with a lot of young promising talent.

Losing Hayward for nothing has hurt big time and we're left without much talent on our team.

Even more seriously, the lack of young talent is just a symptom of the larger issue of poor asset management. The Jazz have had pretty good players like Kanter/Hayward but haven't maximized their value. OKC got Carmelo friggin Anthony for Kanter.

Remember Trey Burke? Ya no one else does either. He's a g league superstar tho lmao.

You can even go back to Boozer and Deron.
What have the Jazz got left to show for these all-star caliber talents now?

As usual, management is the problem.
Speaking of, how the heck did you become a moderator bro.
Hot dam Hottt Nickkkkkk.

I think Snyder's system makes PG's exceed expectations. As much as I think rubio blows he's still having a career year thus far.

Which rebuild? I swear the Jazz are on rebuild number 3 or 4 since 2010. They missed too many times in the draft.

Haha.. I like your blunt take.

I really do think going 'All In' for Hayward really hurt us bad. Had we traded him last year for a lottery pick, and tank last year, we could have picked up someone like Markkanen in the draft.

Gobert
Markkanen
Hood
Mitchell
Exum

I'd be a heck of a lot more optimistic about that team than the team we currently have now.

I'm at the point where I'm willing to trade anyone except for Rudy and Mitchell. Everyone else is expendable, and yes, even Jingles, as much as I love him, if we package him to get a #1 option, so be it. But the Jazz need offense from somewhere and there is no one on the team that can provide that right now.

Well I think all those teams at least have 3 legit young talents on them. We have Gobert and Mitchell, that's a good start, but I think I'd like to see at least 1 more offensively gifted young player to take the load off of Mitchell.

We could have gotten something for Hayward but it's too late now. I dunno, maybe we need to tank 1 more year to grab 1 more young offensive weapon going forward. That's what I would do anyway.

We cant tank with a healthy Gobert, also a rookie doesnt fit with him. If you want to go that route you might as well trade Gobert. But we also dont need to get a high pick to get another good player. We didnt tank last year and got Mitchell. We got Gobert at the end of the draft.

I also think Exum is a young talent, so that makes three for me. Its a bummer he is out but that talented 21 year old is still on our team.

It is a bummer to loose Hayward for nothing. We cant have that happen again. But you also have to take a chance on retaining your talent you took years to develop that sounds like he might stay. If you trade talent every time it gets good then you might as well give up. I wish our front office had read the situation better, Hayward deceived them.

Im willing to trade anyone if it brings in a better player. I am pretty sure our FO is willing to do that as well. Gobert and Mitchell better net a good player but there are players I would trade them for.

Keep up this attitude and you'll lose Gobert and DM for nothing too, just like Hayward.

You can't perpetually rebuild bro. You play to win the game.

Yeah Hayward deceived us BIG TIME.

I dunno, my thing is, if the guy doesn't give you any indication that he's staying, we should assume that he's leaving. Otherwise you're left empty handed.

Look at what Chicago was able to get for Butler: Lavine, Dunn and Markkanen.

Look at what Indiana got for Paul George: Oladipo and Sabonis.

We can't take that risk again IMO.

bro quit blamin Hayward. he didnt deceive anybody. he wanted to leave for similar reasons deron wanted to leave. the team wasnt spending money to keep vets and doing enough to win. management is OK with a perpetual rebuild because it's cheap and easy and fans like you encourage them. stop is bro stop it. quit bein management's pet. i am here to save u bro let me save u.
