IMO, it would be a failure on the part of the FO to not move Favors before the deadline. Which is why I expect them to do it.

Favors needs to embrace the reality that he is now a 5. It's not the end of the world - the new 5 is basically like the old 4. Adapt or die, dude.

There can be no doubt that Favs is on the trading block. The decision will be, is getting a player back better for us in terms of talent and cap space or is letting him walk at the end of the year better. That is not near as easy of a decision of folks make it seem. As for playing 4 versus 5, I think Favs has adapted really well. I would bet that he is very happy at the 5 as long as he gets to play. Don't see that as an issue at all.

I've been looking at possible Mirotic trades. This one makes a lot of sense for everyone involved.

Jazz receive: Nikola Mirotic
Bucks receive: Derrick Favors
Bulls receive: Mirza Teletovic and the Bucks 2019 1st

Cleveland will not trade anybody who can possibly help them win in the playoffs. JR and Crowder have been awful, but they might be key in the playoffs.

Favors and Hood for Frye, Osman, Calderon and the Brooklyn pick really makes a ton of sense for them and us.

Hood is so much better for the next 3 years than the Brooklyn pick. I don't think LBJ is leaving. Even if he does, Hood, Love, and Isaiah might be a decent East team.

If the Jazz are able to get Mirotic I would also hope they're able to keep Hood and even start him along side Mirotic at SF and bring Ingles offf the bench. However on the Hood to CLE front and in the "do you remember when" vault, do you remember when LBJ raved about Hood while playing for Duke? Something a long the lines of people tuning in to see Jabari but Hood is ballin' out.

Yeah, they wouldn't. There is no reason for them to clear that much salary. They arnt trading the Brooklyn pick unless they get a star.
