Ingles is awful; Major black eye for DL

Ingles is not awful but he's also not someone you pay to be your starter IMO. Especially going forward I think this contract will not look good.

Umh, I've been saying this is a bad contract since we signed it.

People make rage threads when we are losing and I get it. But obviously this makes no sense. Ingles contract is fair other teams were willing to pay him more during the off season but he stayed here. He's the most consistent player on the team and I don't even want to imagine our offense this season without him. We lost our best player this off season. Luckily, we drafted a player who could be even better, but he is in his rookie season and the team is going to struggle (and Gobert is injured). Your all star player leaving is going to make things tougher on the other players, obviously, but that doesn't mean every other player is a mistake/bad. It means we have to evaluate them in this new context. Of course Hayward being gone makes things tougher for Ingles and everyone...but that is not on Ingles. He's playing very well.

Dang this poster is always right.

I thought Ingles had hit his ceiling last year, and that was fine... but holy hell hes improved again this year. He might win mvp next year at this rate

Ingles was raised by aborigines and is the king of the outback... he has never lived under a ceiling this will never reach one. His ceiling is the stars.

"who could be even better"

ehem... you might want to rephrase that..

If you compare the stats over the last 10 games versus Lord Voldemort last year, Jingles has effectively become He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named in terms of production. At a better contract to boot.

Haywho?

Now that Ingles has finally gotten the message that it's ok for him to shoot. He was passing up way too many opportunities in the early part of the season.

wow. Loads of dudes looking super dumb right now.

I'll take some crow with ketchup on that. I thought it was an overpay at the time and we were trying to do Lord Voldemort a solid by re-signing one of his best friends. I am more than f'ing happy to admit I was dead wrong. Om nom nom.

This thread, as well as multiple others clearly explain why DL is in charge and not us armchair GM's. We like to think we know whats best for the team, while people actually in the position do know.

mayday mayday!!!!

Some people are coming in to hot! Prepare to crash!
