GAME 1: Little Ricky's journey to the playoffs -- Jazz @ Thunder 4/15/18 4:30 pm MST

It was impressive what Burks did there, but that's not what you want to see in the regular flow of the game. Burks running and gunning will shoot you out of a game more often than it carries you through one.
It’s like you didn’t even read the post.

Giving a couple posessions to Burks to see if he’s on or not is not going to kill us for a whole game.

I still like the Jazz in 6. Not concerned at all after this game. At one point in the middle of the 4th OKC was shooting 50% from the field and 50% from 3. They finished the game shooting 48% and 48% respectively. They were making EVERY SINGLE CONTESTED jumpshot. Literally every single one. Spida was banged up. Their crowd was loud and begging for a blowout. We didn't play well offensively. And Thunder still only won this game by 8.

Basically, this was OKC's best possible punch. The Jazz are still standing and throwing hands. They were given round one of the fight. But I still think we'll win the fight. I really don't see OKC replicating this game today.

I'm very glad for Burks. He has to be in the rotation, we need his offense. Give some minutes to Udoh and Neto too.
It seems to me Ingles has not the playoff intensity. Royce O'Neale is getting too much consideration.
I'm usually not an O'Neal fan. But, I've come to love his defense. I just think a little more offense on the floor with the second unit. Exum, Burks, O'Neal, Crowder and Favors

Playoff are where stars and athletes really get a chance to show out. Paul George and Russell Westbrook did enough to win tonight.

I’ve been worried that the Jazz didn’t add quite enough offense this year to counter a team with two elite offensive stars. Shut those two down and I think we’ll be just fine. Still have to play their game. It can’t be Donovan vs. the Thunder. Rubio/Ingles need to get looks and knock down open threes. Favors/Gobert need to get rebounds and put backs - especially if Adams is playing well. Royce and Crowder need to slow down PG13 and Melo. . . then pray that Russ doesn’t go for 40. Mitchell had a good night.

Really wish we had Carroll and Belinelli right now. Jazz need a guy who can matchup with elite wings and a little more 3 point shooting. Quin needs to regroup the guys and try to steal a game next Wednesday.

Well the thing is, if he is really banged up that badly with a foot issue, I doubt it's really going to heal in two days.

to be honest that was not too bad for how well PG shot.

I mean pg shot 8-11! It's just rough when a player is hitting everything. There isn't much you can do. If he just missed half of those we'd be talking about 12 less points. Also we lost some offensive rebounds down the stretch and turned it over at some critical moments. Like that backcourt pass rudy to ingles was just stupid.

lets see how we play next game.

They also got away with some BS, like PG pushing off on Royce for an open 3 and them setting a moving screen on Ingles to get PG a wide open 3.

Royce didn't stop PG one time this game, so stop pretending like he displayed any form of defense.

i dont think anybody could have stopped PG today. The thunder would have beat a full strenght warriors with that kind of shooting, not only that, but they had every touch foul bs go their way.

We've seen Royce play much better defense throughout the year than we saw from him tonight. Not sure we can say the same about AB.
