Rubio completely sucked today.
When he's bad, he's really bad. There's a reason he's open for 18 shots. Long-term, we really need an upgrade at PG. Can't have a dude who can't shoot a lick, it really hurts.
Exum played solid defense even on Westbrook. He started to take over the game but they just kept hitting threes. He also had some bad turnovers. Although I think he was fouled on 2 of them, but thats how it goes sometimes.
Must frustrating point of the game by far. George on the bench, Exum scoring every time we could’ve cut it to like 3 with the starters coming back but the defense was suddenly absolute **** for that stretch, such an unlucky anomaly.Exum played solid defense even on Westbrook. I've pointed this out before, but in 2009-10, the Jazz
1) lost the final game of the regular season to miss out on HCA in the 1st round
2) played Melo's team in Rd 1
3) suffered an injury (Memo) in the first game of that series, which they lost.
They won of the 4 of the next 5 and won that series pretty convincingly.
That Jazz team was an offensive juggernaut and Deron Williams was playing MVP level basketball.
I think that (and I'd love to be wrong) both Rubio and Ingles' game is better suited for the regular season. You could tell that both of these guys were bothered by the physicality/intensity of the playoffs. This may be an overreaction after one playoff game, but let's face it... Ingles had Redick guarding him last year in the 1st round.
Probably would have won by about 20 if he and AB logged 40 mins per for us.Ex Jazzman Derrick Rose having a good game one...
Harden/Capela have 53/76 points for the Rockets - no way that’s sustainable for the playoffs.Ex Jazzman Derrick Rose having a good game one...
