Sorry Jazz fans – Ben is the NBA Rookie of the Year

I watched very little of Simmons but he is a hella player, another generational player like Spida. One game I did see showed a shocking weakness in his game: his free throws and fear at the end of the game. Philly was up a bit and it was the end of the game fouling time. Simmons got the ball just barely over half court and in a frightened manner gave the ball to his big man to get fouled. A point guard giving it to his big to get fouled?????

Franklin play's devil's advocate, taking multiple sides of the same position. utahjazzz hammers one theme over and over. You still accuse people falsely, on stupid evidence.

Remember Corbin, since when did he ever take any side but going to ridiculous lengths to support everything Corbin did, just like UJ does with Simmons? Guess you have a poor memory.

Yes, when Corbin was being attacked all over this board, he played devil's advocate and defended Corbin. By contrast, Simmons is being completely ignored in the vast majority of threads here, and utahjazzz is on offense in this discussion, not defense. I would not be surprised if the poster formerly known as franklin is back, but it is not utahjazzz.

You might say that, but I don't recall it like that. I think it was Franklin who started posting the pro-Corbin threads, and he was back as Uncle F there for a while until he got banned. But I think you're right he is still on the board, which is why I've been thinking he is Utahjazz.

To my knowledge, we didn't have a lot of anti-Simmons threads on here. At any rate, stop trying to guess who is/used to be who. You just embarrass yourself that way.

I don't think it's embarrassing. It's the people who are deceptive that should be called out and discouraged.
 
After this first game maybe Simmons should have been #3 on this ROY list. Good thing playoffs dont count. I dont know how 76ers are losing to Boston who is missing their 2 best players.

76ers have to win this series to get any respect. I hope its just first game jitters.


Honestly I dont see Lebron and Simmons working together well. If Lebron had interest in 76ers I would trade Simmons for someone else. Simmons cannot play off the ball and if you take the ball out of Lebrons hands that is just plain stupid. Maybe in a few years if/when Lebron starts to fade.

Did you just watch the game? He just got outplayed by Tatum by a mile. Yes he deserved in the regular season but he has not been near as good in the playoffs. Thats why I said good thing the playoffs dont count. And yes this is an from me overreaction to his garbage play losing the game for a team I cheer for.
 
Can make anything that ain’t a dunk... has to defer to JJ and Marco in the clutch cuz he can’t shoot... had 7 TOs but woulda had more if they called half the travels. Rozier and Al destroyed him.

I guess maybe Philly should not hang all those championship banners just yet... I can see why they’d get so excited when they beat a mediocre heat team but maybe they got a little ahead of themselves.

Man Ben is such a douche and the Philly fans are so insufferable that I’m rooting for Boston.
