Top 5 Targets for Summer 2018

Bit off topic.

So even though I don’t think it’s a perfect pairing, they love eachother and chemistry can be more important than complimenting play styles. And Mitchell and Rubio compliment eachother fairly well still.

So forget Exum maybe we sign him cheap, maybe not. But we can’t assume he’ll be much help in the future. But we do keep Favors and Rubio.

So shortly after free agency begins this is out starting lineup:

Rubio
Mitchell
Ingles
Favors
Gobert

Royce and Crowder as the main bench guys. With the usual filler to round out the roster.

Can that starting five compete in two years? Do you just assume Mitchell is gonna get that good and roll with what got you here? And what would the missing piece be? Would have to be a bench guy, or you’re replacing someone in that starting lineup. If so, who’re you replacing?

Lindsey is in a tough spot. No room for error while building this team if he wants to have a shot.

sure they can compete in the West semifinals that's it.

I'm all for Avery Bradley. Could play with Donovan, Rubio, or could go small and play all 3 together. Give him a 1 year deal and he can try to prove himself for 1 big deal in 2019 when more teams have money to spend. If it works out, Jazz can resign him.

Paul George!!! He would fit so well in the starting unit for the Jazz and bring Ingles off the bench. I think George would enjoy the Jazz system and playing with Rubio, Mitchell, Gobert and hopefully Favors. After getting beat by the Jazz, he should see the possibilities of playing for them, like Durant to the Warriors

I just wish we could have measured ourselves against the Rockets healthy to really know we are at.

Would Thabo have helped on defense in this series?

Another shooter and we are there?

I feel like we should be a top 4 team in the west next year if healthy, but how far are we from being contenders? I want to know damn it!!

1. LeBron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Kawhi Leonard
4. Paul George
5. See if Pop is down for an assistant coaching gig

No Steph.... this list dumb.

Rubio and Jingles for Lillard.

Another name I haven't seen is Montrezl Harrell.

Nice to find a thread about this. I've been compiling my own list. The list of somewhat realistic candidates of outside free agents I've come up with are,

- Avery Bradley (Struggled this past season, but in '16-'17 he averaged 16 ppg, shot 39% from the 3, and was considered a lock down defender)
- Joe Harris (42% 3 point shooter last year)
- Wayne Ellington (Provides some athleticism and shooting off the bench at the 2 guard. Shot 39% from the 3 last year)
- Mario Hezonja (Still only 23 years old, shows flashes of real talent. Quinn may be able to really develop him)
- Will Barton (Streaky scorer who averaged 16 ppg last year. Could provide another offensive playmaker that the Jazz desperately need on the floor at times
- Rodney Hood (Just kidding. He will be significantly cheaper this offseason now though. His value has plummeted in Cleveland.

I think re-signing Favors is very important, but if they don't I'd like to see the Jazz go after Thaddeus Young. I don't think the Jabari Parker thing will happen. I think it's too risky and I think the Bucks retain him anyways.

Actually a really good realistic list for us. I'd be happy with a lot of those guys. Ellington and Barton would be nice coming off the bench. We need some shooters.
Someone will take Burks off our hands right?

LBJ and Paul George. Will Barton, Jabari Parker and there is an Australian with a Bosnian sounding name playing in Europe as a point guard. He was on the Aussie U17 team that won a silver medal in the University Games a few years ago losing to the US by one point. This guy would make a solid back up to Rubio.

in no particular order:

Derrick favors. If he leaves, Kevin love
Wilson Chandler
Michael Beasley
Mario Hezonja

We need scoring, especially on the wing.

I want absolutely nothing to do with Jabari Parker, and Exum leaving wouldn’t break my heart

I'm curious to know why guys like Beasley or Hezonja and no Parker
