Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Does his jumper look a little flat to anyone else? Maybe it's just the camera angle.

I'm thinking Walt maybe played him up a little. I have little doubt Okobo tore him up today.

His release could be higher, he did release higher later in the vid maybe they mentioned it to him, reminds me of watching Exum videos back in the day. Obvious talent but a project - he's not going to contribute game 1 ofcourse

Imma just say it: I don't see much to like with Simons.
what i like is its clear he has very good length and he gets on top of the rim with ease. but yeah, as i mentioned above, i'd be concerned about the shooting and coming out of HS its just hard to know if he has a clue how to play basketball. we know nothing about his feel, his vision, passing, defense, his handles being pressured by nba talent, his ability in the PnR, and on and on. He's the reason that as a draft fan, i like the one and done. judging guys out of college is hard, judging them out of HS is near impossible. you take a guy with elite physical gifts (which he has) and hope for the best.

not much of a fan of Simon's stroke. not much lift, fairly low release, not that quick. i would have concerns about accuracy and his ability to get the shot off.

If he were 6'7" we'd be comparing him to young TMac.

Mitchell and Okobo on the floor together could be pretty lethal. They can both attack from just about anywhere. Then play Exum as a 3/D wing.

Play DM, Rubio, Exum, Okobo as the guard rotation. Any 2 can be on the floor at the same time... at least in theory. There's good mix of shooting, attacking the rim, playmaking/passing and defense in that group. Slide O'Neale over to backup SF.

always liked this footage.

He's a good shooter.....Were not having this discussion bout him at 21 if he wasnt....... Simons is both smooth and explosive and he can definitely shoot it!

Okobo seems like everything Dante was supposed to be. Athletic, strong defender, good at getting to the rim...

He’s actually kinda crappy on defense from what I’ve read... he will be a good scoring guard and hopefully gets good enough on defense.

Take into account his age though. He could be an allstar in the league one day - 7 or 8 years from now I wouldn't be shocked - we said the same about Exum too though. Really would like to see him play 5x5 defense . His demeanor doesn't bother me in the least, I like cool cats - they are all kids, but he really is just a kid.

I'd mock Anfernee somewhere around 28-35 gets taken before Diallo
