Following Potential 2018 Draftees

My guess at this stage is that the Jazz like Brown and Okobo, and might also be willing to take KBD and Huerter. It's likely that one of them will be available at 21. I'm waiting to see if they get Jerome Robinson in to workout.

It would be reasonable for Brown, Zhaire Smith, Okobo, KBD and Huerter to go 16 - 21. One other guy in that range pushes one of them to us, whether Hutchison, Robinson or Simons.

I hope not, I think we could do better at 21.

I think we can do better at 21 too. He wouldn't be my first choice. But I do think he has a lot of tools our development staff could work with if we did pick him.

There's some potential there if he can get stronger, improve his handles and improve his jumper.

I have this gut feeling that Melvin Frazier is extremely high on the Jazz board. I remember hearing buzz weeks ago that the Jazz liked him a lot (can't remember from where exactly). Locke likes him a lot. Tony Jones has spoken highly of him. He fits the mold of a DL pick too. Great size and length for his position, very athletic, good defender, two way player potential.

Well Frazier did compare his game to Kawhi's (just like every other long wing with a questionable shot) and DL was involved in the Spurs' trade-up for Kawhi... so Frazier to Jazz confirmed.

Woah, that Melvin Frazier kid. A 7'3'' wingspan. And he recently improved his 3 point shot. His defense too is insane and jumps out of the gym. He will be a player. He may get better in the open space of the NBA. Why is he being slept on?

Maybe the Jazz should just trade out of the 21 spot and find a way to get Melvin Frazier and Grayson Allen. You get more athletic and some shooting. The 1, 2, and 3 spots become very athletic on this team.

Frazier does have that rigid, angled athleticism that guys like Durant, Pippen and Kawhi have. It doesnt look as explosive or smooth as a small guy doing it, but it is effective. Seems like he could be that long, disruptive type for a long time. If he created an offensive game, he could be a Giannis, Kawhi, Durant type. Maybe not their level, but that type.

USA vs Canada will be a showdown worth tuning into in this U18 FIBA Americas tournament. Canada has NBA talent, Addison Pattersn who turned 17 3 days ago is their headliner he's easily a 5star recruit. Ii relly like AJ Lawson's game, 6'7 athletic with a soft shooting touch from deep.

#21 for Atlanta picks #30 and #34?

If we could get Frazier and Allen. I'd do it. Not sure they both last that long.

I would trade #21 and #52 for
#30, #34 and Atlanta's 2019 2nd.

I think #21 for #30 and #34 isn't enough for us. But if we could get Frazier for sure at #30, I love our possible choices at #34 (Okogie, Grayson, KBD, Milton, Carter, etc)

Because he is 22 and weighs 200 lbs with wonky mechanics on his shot and an inability to shoot off the dribble.

He has potential, but he might just be Corey Brewer 2.0

I feel like the Jazz are good at appraising non-scoring talent. Could be a place where you can find a lot of value in the draft.

Also, I know bench press doesnt really mean anything towards basketball, but I still think it's a decent measure of how much a player probably puts into the weight room.

Melvin Frazier is nearly 22 and can't bench 185 a single time.
