I know it’s not much really, but I saw Donovan quote tweet the guy who said his dad “likes the idea of him playing in NY” I mean....not my favorite thing to already hear 5 minutes in to year two tbh. I realize they aren’t like verified check mark people, but I do believe they met his dad at that game. Donovan’s a grown man, etc. etc. I get all that. Just not my favorite thing to already hear. And yes to get ahead of this, I know we are a long way from that day so why worry about it, before I get that canned response.

Ummm DM basically said eff that noise when he tweeted it. He will be here for his first 7-8 years no matter what.

DMs mom was brimming with praise for the organization... his mom is the more influential parent anyway... so even if his dad did want it I don’t think it’d matter.

He’s our guy... this isn’t a Hayward situation.

If we don't do enough during Mitchell's rookie and 2nd contract, I could see him going to New York. I'm not saying I think he won't be loyal to us. I would say that because we failed to put the guys around him. If that's the case, then I'm not going to be mad at him.

I mean, if Donovan plays 8 years with us and the best we ever do is add role player guys like Crowder and Korver, I'm not going to blame him if home comes calling.
