Our playoff push, our competitors and seeding

Not sure. I’d think so too but on nba.com, they’re listed ahead of us.

Do we own the tiebreaker with the lakers?
I feel like we do so we would be 8th and they would be 9th.

It's 1-1. The tie-breaker currently goes by conference record (.533 % vs .52 %) since a) neither team is leading their divisions and then b) not in the same division.

Capela our 4-6 weeks... rockets are a skeleton crew... could tumble down the standings

Houston is about to get desperate and trade some picks for a player. I got a feeling they will go after Bazemore, but they are going to get somebody.
I hope they land JR Smith.

I hope they land JR Smith.

Even if it's JR, Houston is going to add somebody. What they do will be very interesting. They have Knight's $14 million deal and draft picks. If they are willing to send out a few of them like they were for Butler, maybe they actually get better. They will just try to survive until everyone is healthy and then make a run.

And the trade exceptions are useful. 3.7M for the Johnson trade has value when combined with an expiring like Thabo. That's enough to trade for a player who can help the team.
You can't combine trade exceptions with other trade exceptions or players to make a trade.

Lucky for them their schedule is pretty soft the next few weeks. I think only 5 of their next 15 are against teams above .500. Still, that's a big blow, hopefully they'll drop some games they should win.

Teams I wanna see in a playoff series (if these teams make it of course)

- Kings (young)
- Clips (no real go to guy)
- Blazers (don't trust them in playoffs, plus good matchup)
- Lakers (even if LeBron's healthy I don't trust their young guys at all in a playoff series against Utah and it would be fun to be the 1st team to kick LeBron out in the 1st round)
- TWolves (they're finally running the offense through KAT but I think Gobert beats KAT in a playoff series and Snyder runs rings around Ryan Saunders)
- Any of those teams below the Wolves

Teams I'm on the fence about seeing

- Spurs (think we have more talent and I don't trust DeMar in the playoffs but Pop is Pop and he would be one of the only coaches in the league who could outcoach Snyder)
- Rockets (I don't trust CP3's health and they're not as dangerous from deep this year, plus their ISO ball style offense really lets our guys like Exum shine defensively)
- Nuggets (clearly talented but young team with no playoff experience. I nearly would want to see them but I think Jokic pulling Gobert away from the rim would wreak havoc on our defense if he exploits it right)

Teams I really don't want to have to see early

- Thunder (Last year we got away with just having everyone abuse Melo on offense for 30 minutes a game, this year they've replaced him with another good/great defender in Grant and statistically they've been doing our main strength which is defense better than we do which is worrying. Combine that with them having two elite shot creators with PG13 who has been a man possessed this year and Westbrook compared to our one, being the best offensive rebounding team in the league, and the revenge factor them... I think they would be an awful matchup unless they're banged up a little)
- Warriors (no explanation needed)
