You know... back in the day 4chan was interesting. Sometimes. Even the shock **** was hilarious once you came to terms with the absurdity of it.

I don't even know how people follow conversation over there anymore. Haven't tried for probably the last 5 years.

First time I visited 4chan was in 2008, I think. It was full of animal and child abuse imagery. There was a ton of people being "ironically" racist. They then kicked off the pedos to 8chan. I visited a couple of years ago, and it's practically a white supremacists board now.

Never personally found any of that stuff interesting.
 
Hilariously, 8chan got a major gaming publisher to do an AMA there a couple of weeks back. The clueless gaming company thought it was just a normal board. Altho the slogan "shota is loli with a couple of extra inches" should've tipped them that something was wrong. /shrug

I guess ignorance is bliss in this case.

Not sure that's an appropriate comment to make given the situation.

But I do agree we must at least control immigration from Europe. Too many white people in the US as is.

Most liberals don't mind small, incremental upgrades. ****, they agreed to allocate a billion or so for additional(albeit minor) Normandy style fencing. But the left doesn't want to fund a wall. It makes us(as a country) look like jackasses, and spending a ton on additions that won't justify the cost probably ever.

Now... what could change minds? I think if you're going have a chance, get a fair and legitimate estimate on how many actual border jumpers come across, and about how many the cost would reduce. We have no consistently agreed upon data on that, just a lot of estimates on how many illegal immigrants are here. This number includes those that arrived by legitimate points of entry. A wall, nor additional normandy fences, would help that. Without a common understanding where that is, it's just gut feelings fighting gut feelings and will always devolve into name calling.

Sorry I snapped at you. Of course there's a case for controlled immigration. I just didn't appreciate the comment in the context of a politician saying it was the murdered people's fault for being where they don't belong.

My heart hurts. So much hatred in the world. I do believe good triumphs over evil, but days like this put dents in the belief.
