I seem to recall a thread about the best pizza in Utah and several people mentioned a place in Midvale. Help a brotha' out and let me know where this joint is so I can try it out.

Thanks!!

Don Merino's Pizza.

I haven't had it, but McFly says it's the best and if I was in Midvale more I'd have checked it out by now.

Don Merino's (70th-ish and state), but unfortunately their oven recently crapped out and I've heard that they might be done for good if they can't afford to fix it. We were going to throw a benefit show for them at the Underground but have to deal with the whole "getting evicted" thing first.

Either way, it would be worth it to give them a call or drive past and see if they're up and running again.

The Pie Pizza has a location in Fort Union/Midvale in the parking lot between the Walmart and Babies-R-Us.

Try a pizza bender at italian village

Instant Runs last time I went there and never been back. The 3 times I've been there its been packed but I haven't been impressed.

Este Pizza is damn good over in Sugarhouse - New York Style
NYPD Pizza is also respectable

Can you tell I am a thin crust type of guy?

Gut.... bomb!

The pie reminds me of 2 o'clock in the morning, hammered, and knowing I need to go to school at 8 AM in college

Este is killer even though I'm not a fan of the owner. If you're into NY pizza that's tops.

The Pie is really, really hard to beat though. I love thick doughy pizza with tons of cheese.

Really? I've been wanting to try this place out as it's across the street from the Pizza Hut that I go to but everything I've heard is that they've lost their touch. Worth giving a try anyway?

I honestly haven't been since November... They still tasted fantastic... But... Things could change. If so, that should be a crime. They had excellent pizza. I'll never forget the look on Larry H's face when my fam and i ate there shortly after the Jazz were robbed by the refs against Miami. It was when AK blocked Wade's shot at the end and the refs called a foul at the buzzer. Remember that? I was ticked. But not nearly as ticked off as Larry H. I don't think he said a word through the whole meal. I would have normally gone up and said something to him. I mean, we had before when the Jazz were in the 98 playoffs. He was way friendly. But not that night. He was ticked...

I think it was in 04... Shortly thereafter, he broke his wrist, boozer decided to take a vacation, and Keith McCloud became our #1 PG...

That season sucked. But I think we finally beat SA at year at the buzzer off a Memo tip in.

I'll have to give it a try before I move out to Cali...although now I'll always associate it with that disgusting memory. Thanks.
