The Darwinism Award Thread

Is this the evolution of a kinder, gentler Sirkickyass? What's next, pigs that fly?

I was hoping acknowledgement that I was picking on him a little in advance would lessen the sting of the blow and prevent another iteration of board drama. I'm generally satisfied with the results, his wishes for my death notwithstanding. ;)

I guess I spoke too soon. I take it all back. Everything is perfect.

Cicero cops flush out stolen ring, officials say

I guess he made a mistake swallowing the evidence.

Wilfredo Gonzalez-Cruz probably understands better than most the full reach of the long arm of the law.

Gonzalez-Cruz, 30, spent some time over the weekend inside a Cicero police “rubber room,” and was given medication to “force the expulsion” of a diamond ring he allegedly stole and then swallowed, Town of Cicero officials said Tuesday.

Without going into detail, Cicero spokesman Ray Hanania said police “finally recovered” the ring on Monday.

The strange episode began Friday when Gonzalez-Cruz, a home repairman, was doing some remodeling work at a residence in Cicero. At some point, Gonzalez-Cruz asked to used the homeowners’ bathroom. After he’d finished his business in the bathroom, the female homeowner noticed her diamond ring was missing, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

The woman told her husband, who then confronted the repairman. A tussle broke out between the husband and the repairman, and at some point the repairman allegedly popped the ring into his mouth and swallowed it.

Perhaps he thought that was the end of the matter.

It was not....

No question it should go to the motorcyclist who died from head injuries because he wasn't wearing a helmet. The catch is that he was riding in a protest against mandatory helmet wearing laws. LOL.

I beg to differ. I'd say the guy who's wearing the helmet. Did he really think it was the helmet that was going to save him when he crashed at 120 mph?
